Dimitri couldn't voice his thoughts, but the look in his eyes said it all. He'd never admit it—at least, not to Adeline. Making her feel too good about herself would only worsen her horrible attitude.
Adeline stood in front of him, a wide smile spreading across her lovely face. "Shall we leave?"
Dimitri looked away from her, snorting, but glanced back almost immediately, his attention suddenly caught by the necklace resting prettily around her neck. A frown, too deep, emerged on his face.
"Who gave you that necklace?" He knew how expensive it was because he'd wanted to buy it for Varvara the other day at the Cartier store.
But he didn't think it was worth wasting so much money, therefore, he'd left it and gone for a slightly cheaper one.
Now, how the fuck was Adeline wearing such experience jewelry? Who gave it to her?
What bastard would gift such a necklace as if it were worth nothing?
