Capítulo 22: Elle Stark

Marvin shook his head and said, "Don't worry about it, Jean."

Jean wasn't convinced by the answer and continued to look at Marvin. She had rarely seen Marvin have that kind of face, so she was really worried.

"I didn't think that little Jean would actually ignore me." Grandpa Max said as he shook his head.

Only then Jean noticed what she was doing and stood up. She smiled at Grandpa Max and said, "How could that be, Elder Max?"

Grandpa Max smiled and said, "I believe you, anyways don't worry about it. It's something that doesn't involve Marvin, so you should be worry-free."

"Are you sure about that?" Jean asked.

"Aiyo, have some trust in me. Besides, why would I involve someone like him who'll only be a burden?" Grandpa Max said.

Marvin rolled his eyes and said, "Even in this state, I can beat you."

Seeing that there was no problem at all, Jean clapped her hands and said, "Alright then, since everyone here is already, you have to do your breakfast here."

"Don't worry. I never planned to leave this place with an empty stomach." Grandpa Max said.

Denver added from the sides, "Yeah, if I'm guessing right, then Gramps had already ordered the chefs not to make anything."

Jean's attention finally went towards the two young men who were sitting on the opposite side on two chairs. She smiled, seeing one of them as she recognised him.

"Looks like little Denny is grown up now," Jean said, her lips tugged up.

"Of course, Aunt Jean." Denver raised his chest and put his hand on it.

"It's good to see you still remember me," Jean smiled and then turned towards Lex, who was awkwardly looking around.

"And who's this young man?" Jean asked.

Denver put his arm around Lex's neck and said, "He's my brother, Lex, so technically he's your nephew."

"Please! Don't turn anyone into my family, Denny. You know, I don't have a good history with the word family." Lex said.

"Hmm, then he's just your nephew's brother," Denver said, still insisting on being Lex's brother.

Lex sighed but didn't say anything. Like always, this was just how Denver acted, always forcing himself into Lex's life. Lex had gotten used to it now.

Jean, instead of getting offended, smiled as she saw the familiar bond between Denver and Lex. She could see just how uncomfortable Denver made Lex, but Lex still didn't say anything and didn't push Denver away.

"If he's your brother, then he's always welcome in the Stark family, right Elder Marvin?" Jean asked as she turned towards Marvin.

"Of course, I was going to say that, actually." Marvin looked at Lex and said.

As they were talking, another person joined them. They looked at the incomer, who was a young woman wearing workout clothes.

She was a tall beauty with long black hair tied into a ponytail and icy blue eyes. Her face was nonchalant as she wiped the sweat from her forehead.

She came towards them and stopped seeing so many people. She cocked her head and said, "I didn't know we were having guests today."

"Because they aren't our guests, Elle, don't you recognise them?" Marvin asked.

The woman, Elle, looked at them and showed a rather surprised look, which didn't really show that she was surprised.

"So it's Grandpa Max and Denny," Elle said as she bowed her head slightly towards Grandpa Max. "Good morning, Grandpa Max."

She then looked at Denver and said, "Also, long time no see, Denny."

"Good morning to you too, Dear Elle." Grandpa Max smiled and nodded his head at Elle.

As for Denver, he was busy remembering who Elle was and why she seemed familiar to him. Then he remembered clearly and said, "Ah, I almost forgot about the prodigy Elle. Heyo, long time no see."

Elle then looked at Lex and said, "I didn't expect you to be familiar with the Ramsey Family, Lex."

"You actually remember me? Your ability is really scary," Lex said.

Denver got confused and looked at both Elle and Lex back and forth. He asked, "You two know each other?"

"Not really, we just met one time during a meeting at Novelweb Headquarters." Lex shrugged his shoulders and said.

Watching the interaction between Lex and Elle, Jean narrowed her eyes and thought, 'Interesting! Elle actually bothered to remember someone? That's new. And knowing Elle, I doubt it's only one meeting between them, but if something big happened with Elle, I should have known. Are you hiding something from your Jean, Elle?'

Jean then grinned and said, "You must have left a deep impression on Elle's mind then."

Elle glanced at Jean but didn't say anything. As for Lex, he didn't think much of that comment, after all, he knew about the prodigy Elle.

Elle Stark was a name famous around the world as the prodigal child. She had a high IQ since her birth, and then she awakened the ability of "Photographic Memory", boosting her mind even more.

But she didn't use her brain to go into any scientific field or anything. She chose to enter the business world.

And then she became a billionaire at the young age of 20, and even now her companies are just rising up. She was a business tycoon.

Because of this business side of her, they had met once when she wanted to invest in Novelweb. And due to her ability, she remembered Lex, or at least that's what he thought.

"Alright, since even Elle is here now, let's do breakfast. Should I bring it outside?" Jean asked in excitement.

Elle looked at her watch and said, "Jean, I need to go to the company early today, so can I go? I'll eat later at the company."

Before Jean could respond, Marvin said, "No! You're first eating the breakfast and then going."

"But it's important..." Elle pleaded but still got the same answer.

Denver then remembered something and said, "If you need to reach early, then you can just go with Lex. He had the Star bike, so you'll be in your office in no time."
