Capítulo 105: Harry's Playful Progress
In the Tonks household Harry and Tonks were both sat cross legged on Harry's bed with Jet curled up and resting on the floor next to the bed. The two were wearing muggle clothes with Tonks wearing a simple pair of white knee length shorts, a dark grey shirt and had her pink hair in a pony tail. Harry on the other hand also wore a pair of knee length white shorts, but also wore a dark blue tank top, he would usually keep his hair black but today he decided to be a bit different and gave himself white highlights.
Harry's room was much nicer than before, the bed was big enough to easily fit two people. He had a rather elegant looking desk, several shelves full of books, a cupboard that was half full with muggle clothes and half filled with wizarding clothes. His window offered a nice view of the street outside, Harry hadn't really cared much about decorating the walls but the one thing he did want was the charm that was placed on the ceiling. The ceiling, instead of being a simple ceiling, would now show the outside sky and would only activate at night so Harry didn't get blasted with sunlight if it was too bright.
"Alright, say 'ah'." Tonks said as she lifted a mandrake leaf in one hand and held her wand in the other.
"Ah." Harry said as he opened his mouth, holding it as wide open as possible.
"Alright, just stay still." Tonks said before she placed the mandrake in his mouth, pushing it onto the roof of his mouth. Tonks aimed her wand and cast a sticking charm on it so it stuck to the roof. "Okay," Tonks said as she removed her hand from Harry's mouth, she cast a cleaning spell on her hand. "So, it should be stuck now but we'll make sure to reapply the sticking charms every day. How does it taste?" She asked in a curious voice.
"Wawa land." Harry replied.
"What?" Tonks blinked. Harry coughed and cleared his throat.
"Sorry, I meant to say rather bland." Harry said. "So...I have to keep this in my mouth for a month, right?" Harry asked.
"Yep." Tonks nodded before she turned to the book on how to become an animagus and began reading part of it out loud. "it says that 'Part of the process by which one became an Animagus is holding the leaf of a mandrake in their mouth for an entire month, using the leaf for the creation of a potion, reciting the incantation 'Amato Animo Animato Animagus' on a daily basis, and drinking the Animagus potion during a lightning storm.', so yeah. One month." Tonks shrugged. "Mum will help you without the potion but most of it you can do yourself. Dad's worked out when the next lightning storm will be and we should be able to do it fairly soon, unless you spit the leaf out or swallow it. Because if you do then we got to start again." Tonks said, adding the last part as a warning.
"Got it." Harry nodded, though Tonks didn't need to explain that part to him, he had read the book and knew that it was a very difficult process.
"Good, now let's what's next after waiting for a month...ah this is about the potion...'the wizard or witch has to spit the leaf in a phial within range of the moon's pure rays. To the moon-struck phial, the wizard or witch must add one of their own hairs, a silver teaspoon of dew that had not seen sunlight or been touched by human feet for seven days, and the chrysalis of a Death's-head Hawk Moth. The mixture had to then be put in a quiet, dark place, and could not be in any way disturbed.
The next thing that had to happen was for the wizard or witch to wait for an electrical storm, whenever that might be.' Tonks finished.
"Sound tasty," Harry said in a dry voice before a thought occurred to him. "hey, can you put like a spell on the leaf so that food and drinks don't damage it?" Harry asked. "That sounds much better than just being careful and it's less likely to damage the leaf and reduces the risk of us starting over again."
"You just want to eat my mum's food." Tonks said knowingly.
"I'm sorry but if she makes that stuff then that woman is an angel."
"I'll tell her you said that." Tonks smirked. "As for the spell, I could but I don't really know if the leaf needs to just stay in your mouth or if it constantly needs your saliva - or whatever you're supposed to call the liquid in your mouth - as well, so if I block the food I could end up blocking the saliva. With that being said I think temporarily putting it up before you eat would be fine, but we'll ask mum just in case." Tonks replied.
"Cool, so what animal do you think I'll be?" Harry asked in an excited voice.
"With cheeks like yours," Tonks said in a thoughtful voice as she leaned over and pinched Harry's cheeks. "a hamster, definitely." She grinned, he was so adorable.
"Shove off." Harry laughed as he slapped her hands away. "No, but come on, seriously, what do you think?"
"I dunno," Tonks frowned thoughtfully. "I would say you'd be a snake but that would be kind of...predicable."
"Little bit but I wouldn't complain." Harry shrugged.
"I bet you wouldn't." Tonks snorted in amusement. "Maybe a big animal like a wolf or a tiger. I hope it's a big animal."
"Why?" Harry asked.
"Because then I could ride you and use you as a teddy bear." Tonks said without a hint of embarrassment. "What animal do you think I would be if I did it?" She asked.
"A pig." Harry answered immediately.
"You what?!"
"You like pink." Harry shrugged before he laughed a little, unable to stop himself.
"Oh, you cheeky little..." Tonks lunged at him and began tickling him mercilessly.
"No! Stop!" Harry laughed as he tried and failed to fight her off. "Auror brutality!" Harry screamed but that did little to stop Tonks.
"I'll show you pig in a second." Tonks said under her breath before she continued tickling him. "Whose the pig? Who is the pig?"
"Not you...not you!" Harry gasped out as she tickled him.
"Good." Tonks said in a satisfied voice as she let go of him.
"That was not fair." Harry chuckled as he sat up.
"Fair shmair." Tonks said dismissively.
"But you did make one mistake." Harry said as he began stretching.
"What's that?" Tonks asked.
"You forgot that you're more ticklish than I am." Harry commented before he lunged at her and began tickling her.
"Harry! Harry!" Tonks screamed as she Harry began tickling her.
"Taste of your own medicine, Tonks." Harry grinned.
"No...stop that!" She tried in vain to escape.
"Choke on my vengeance...how does it taste?" Harry said in a low and dramatic voice as he continued to tickle her.
"I will...get you back for this." Tonks gasped out between laughing.
"I do not doubt that, so better make this worth it." Harry said before he continued to tickle her.
