Once the platform was no longer in sight Harry turned to see the Weasley's standing there as they had also waved goodbye to their guardian.
"We're going to go and find Lee." The twins said before they walked off.
"I'm going to go and find Hermione." Ron said to Ginny before giving Harry a small glare right as he left.
"So Ginny, you want to find a compartment with me?" Harry asked.
"Sorry Harry," Ginny said apologetically. "I was going to go and sit with my fourth year friends."
"It's fine," Harry waved her off. "I will just find somewhere else to sit." Harry smiled suddenly. "Unless your friends are hot?"
"Oi," Ginny said as she punched him in the arm. "hands off my friends Potter."
"Oh touchy," Harry grinned as he rubbed his arm. "fine, fine," he added when Ginny glared at him. "I will not try and talk your female friends into an orgy."
"You'd better not," Ginny said in a warning tone, even though her lips curved up slightly. "do you have any friends in your year Harry?"
"Not anymore, why?"
"You might want to try and get some, even if you don't trust them fully, it could be nice to have at least one person to hang out with." Ginny said before she walked off.
"Hmm." Harry walked along the train, looking for an empty compartment as he thought on what Ginny had said.
True he didn't really feel like wasting his time with more people but it could help to have a friend in his year, the problem was with who he would chose to be his friend. Most of the people in his year he either didn't trust, didn't like or didn't know. He doubted that if he had a friend he would trust them one hundred percent, but like Ginny said it could be beneficial to at least have an ally.
"I don't know what happened to Potter." Harry heard a voice say, he looked around and saw nobody in the hallway apart from him.
"Me either," Another voice replied, Harry quickly realised that it was coming from the compartment to his right. Harry quickly disillusioned himself and peaked through the window on the door to see two girls. One was a pretty blonde haired girl with blue eyes, the other was a pretty brunette with brown eyes. Harry recognised both of them, the blond was Daphne Greengrass and Tracy Davis was the brunette, they were both Slytherin's in his year. "I think it probably has to do with the tournament." Daphne Greengrass said as she talked to Tracy, both girls not knowing that Harry was outside.
"What makes you think that?" Tracy asked.
"Think about it this way, before the tournament Potter was a meek little boy with a scruffy look and slightly above average magic abilities." Daphne replied. "But after getting put in the tournament the whole school turned on him."
"For a second time." Tracy pointed out.
"Yes," Daphne nodded. "if I had to guess then I would say that Potter got sick of it, I think he was holding back, if the rumors are right then Potter was able to perform a patronus charm at thirteen. But now he has stopped holding back, he stopped playing the weakling. He had spent the whole of last year skipping classes, my theory is that he was learning whatever spells he wanted to learn."
"How strong do you think he is?" Tracy asked.
"I don't know, all I do know is that he was strong enough for father to moan for a whole hour about Harry not being his own son."
Harry stepped back and began thinking, he tried to remember if he had any encounters with Greengrass and Davis before and used his occlumency to help speed up the process. He was pretty sure that they hadn't really said more than a hundred words to him in all of their time at Hogwarts, he did remember that they had worn the Potter stinks badges but he also knew how Slytherin worked, you either willingly wore those badges or you did so just to keep the others off of your back.
Harry thought about it and decided that these two were great choices, they were purebloods from decently respected houses as far as Harry knew so they could provide valuable help. He had never seen them hanging out with Malfoy and his gang before but that didn't mean he knew for sure that they didn't support him.
"Father said he wants me to try and ally myself with him," Daphne admitted to Tracy. "he also told me that he would gladly give his consent if I wanted to get in a 'relationship' with Potter."
"He what?" Tracy gasped just as Harry raised an eyebrow, even though nobody could see it.
"I am not going to get in a relationship with Potter, but my father said he would approve if I did. He was at Potter's trial and he saw Potter fight, I wish we had a pensive so he could show me, but all I know for sure is that father was impressed. Personally, I think that we should ally ourselves with Potter now."
"What? Why on Earth would we do that when we've basically been ignoring him for the last few years? How would we do that?"
"I don't know, but Slytherin's respect power and Potter has power, everyone who had a family member at the trial will likely know about Potter's fight. If we had Potter then Malfoy and his gang would back off."
