Capítulo 200: Chapter 200: "Stormwing"

The afternoon sun was high in the sky when Harry finally stirred from his slumber. He blinked groggily, memories of his night as a Thunderbird flooding back, each vivid detail etched into his mind with startling clarity.

Stretching, Harry made his way to the window, gazing out over the sprawling grounds of Black Castle. The world looked different somehow, sharper and more vibrant. He realized with a start that he could make out individual leaves on trees far in the distance, a testament to his enhanced eyesight - an unexpected but welcome side effect of his transformation.

Eager to test the full extent of his new abilities, Harry quickly dressed and made his way outside. The crisp winter air nipped at his skin as he stood on the castle grounds. Closing his eyes, he focused on the memory of his Thunderbird form, feeling the magic surge through him.

The transformation was smoother this time, his body remembering the change. In a flash of brilliant blue light, Harry found himself once again in the form of a majestic Thunderbird. He spread his wings, marveling at their impressive span, before launching himself into the air with a powerful thrust.

The sensation of flight was even more exhilarating in the light of day. Harry soared high above the castle, reveling in the freedom and power coursing through him. He experimented with his newfound abilities, willing the clouds to darken and gather around him. With barely a thought, he could summon lightning, directing it with pinpoint accuracy at targets he conjured far below.

Perhaps most impressive was his ability to travel through thunderclouds. With a mere thought, Harry could dissolve into lightning and reappear elsewhere, covering vast distances in the blink of an eye. It was a form of magical transportation unlike anything he had ever experienced. Quick but with the limitation that he could use it only inside special clouds.

After hours of exhilarating flight, Harry reluctantly returned to the ground. As he shifted back to his human form, he felt a residual energy crackling beneath his skin. Curious, he extended his hand, willing a small bolt of lightning to appear. To his amazement, a spark danced across his fingertips, completely wandless.

Over the next few hours, Harry meticulously tested the changes in his magic due to this transformation. He discovered that weather-related magic came to him as naturally as breathing now. Lightning spells, in particular, were effortless, requiring minimal concentration and no wand.

When he did use his wand - his personal wand with the Thunderbird core - the results were nothing short of spectacular. A simple lightning bolt spell became a devastating arc of energy that could reduce a conjured target to ashes in seconds. Harry couldn't help but grin at the implications this newfound power could have in future duels.

The next day, Harry invited Sirius to the Black Castle. He had been anticipating this moment, eager to share his transformation with his godfather. Sirius had long been trying to persuade Harry to learn the Animagus transformation, but Harry had declined, not wanting a ordinary animal form. Now that he had achieved a magical Animagus form, Harry could barely contain his excitement to reveal it to Sirius.

From his window, Harry could see the two men standing in the grounds, Sirius looking around curiously while Arcturus maintained his usual stoic demeanor. He had asked them to wait for him there for a surprise.

Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, Harry transformed and took flight, circling high above the castle before diving towards the unsuspecting pair. The rush of wind against his feathers was exhilarating, and he let out a piercing cry of joy.

As he approached, Harry could see Sirius's eyes widen in alarm. His godfather reached for his wand, but Arcturus placed a restraining hand on his arm, a knowing smile playing on his lips.

Moments before impact, Harry transformed back, landing gracefully before them with a wide grin. "Surprise, Padfoot!"

Sirius stood slack-jawed, his wand hanging limply at his side. "Harry? What... how... you're an Animagus?"

Harry nodded, unable to contain his excitement. "Not just any Animagus. I'm a magical Animagus - a Thunderbird!"

Over the next hour, Harry explained everything in detail - the ancient Animagus ritual he'd discovered, how he'd used parts from the slain Basilisk to increase his chances of a magical form, and the incredible abilities he'd gained as a result.

Sirius listened in awe, relief washing over him as he learned the Basilisk was truly gone. His expression cycled through amazement, pride, and a hint of concern.

"Why didn't you tell me about this?" Sirius asked, a hint of hurt in his voice.

Arcturus stepped in, his tone measured and calm. "We decided it was best to keep it from you, Sirius. We didn't want to put you in a position where you'd have to lie about this in front of Dumbledore."

Sirius nodded, understanding but still a bit miffed. "I forgive you this time," he said, his voice firm, "but never again. No more keeping secrets from me. I'm not the same Sirius anymore."

Harry readily promised. Now there was no need to keep secrets. He was that confident in his abilities.

Then Sirius's excitement returned to full force. "Well, we have an important thing to decide next. You need a Marauder-worthy nickname now that you've become an Animagus. Any preferences?"

Harry shook his head. "No, I'll leave it to you, Padfoot. You're the expert in this."

Sirius grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Well, in the last few minutes, I've already thought of a perfect one. How about... Stormwing?"

Harry considered it for a moment, then nodded approvingly. "Stormwing it is."

As they made their way back to the castle, Sirius's expression grew serious. "There's something you should know, Harry," he said, his tone grave. "The Lestranges... they've got their wands back."

Harry's eyes narrowed, his mind immediately shifting to strategic mode. "How is that possible? They found a wandmaker?"

Sirius shook his head. "No, they got their original wands back."

Seeing the look of confusion in Harry's eyes, Sirius explained how the purebloods' wands hadn't been destroyed after their arrest, merely locked away. With the majority of Aurors focused on guarding Hogwarts and keeping a lookout at the wandmakers, security at the storage facility had been lax. Pettigrew, in his rat form, had managed to sneak in and steal not only the Lestranges' wands but several others as well.

"They're more dangerous than ever now," Sirius warned, his voice laced with concern. "You need to be extra careful."

Harry nodded, his mind already strategizing. "I will be ready for them," he assured his godfather. "And if worst comes to worst..." He held up his hand, a purple spark forming in his palm. With a quick gesture, Harry directed the energy at the ground a few meters away. There was a small explosion, leaving the earth scorched and smoking.

Sirius's eyes widened at the display. "Is this the ability you gained after your transformation? Wandless thunder magic? This is not fair. All I got was a heightened sense of smell."

Harry grinned, a hint of playful arrogance in his voice. "Magic loves me and always keeps giving me these exciting gifts. Don't be jealous, Padfoot."

Sirius chuckled, shaking his head. "Well, I've long given up comparing myself to you. Now that you have this new magic in your arsenal, I'm no longer worried. The Lestranges will regret becoming your enemies, and maybe Voldemort too in the future."

"I hope so too," Harry replied, his tone becoming more serious as he thought about the future.

After Sirius left, Harry divided his time between studying and exploring his Thunderbird form. He spent hours soaring over the Atlantic, reveling in his newfound freedom and power. He practiced his new abilities, pushing their limits and discovering new applications for his weather magic.

All too soon, the holidays came to an end. Time passes quickly when you are having fun and are busy. Between flying and his other studies, Harry had no idea how the days had flown by.

After a fun-filled train ride, and catching up with friends, it was back to Hogwarts for his second term of the fifth year. OWLs were going to be the focus this term, a fact that had all his friends stressed over.

The Lestranges and Wormtail were also on the back of Harry's mind. Although he was not worried about their danger to him personally, he was concerned that they might harm the students in the school. He would still have to monitor them and take them out before they became a threat. Additionally, he needed Bellatrix to get to the Horcrux in the Gringotts vault, a fact that added another layer of complexity to his plans.

As Harry settled back into his dormitory, unpacking his trunk and greeting his housemates, a sense of anticipation filled him. Despite the looming dangers, he found himself eagerly looking forward to the potential adventures that lay ahead in this term.
