"It's okay. You are out of danger now," she stared down at him.
Charm's body was shivering now that she was on dry land, her upper body exposed to the wind.
Her brunette hair looked like a wet mop, her lips probably looked as blue as her eyes to him from the cold.
Brendan was still fully dressed making it apparent that when he had fallen into the water it was not his intention to go swimming.
While Charm was still in her underwear and exposed, she felt appalled that the first time she was up close and personal with a hot guy, she was half naked.
It just highlighted more the social barriers between them that she could never dare dream to cross.
Her hard working parents were in the lower income middle class bracket before they passed away.
She used to recall Janet talking about Brendan dubbed the child with the golden spoon as his parents were mega superstars in their own right.
They had been pimping Brendan out from in the womb, before he was even born he had million dollar engagements booked up to five years in advance.
Someone like him didn't have to worry about anything and had certainly never felt hunger, it was rumored his dietician traveled with him and catered his meals 24/7.
"Beautiful," he murmured.
His hands moved to her gently caress her face before she could think to stop him, as if he was touching her to see if she was real or not.
"My beautiful savior," his eyes fluttered. The panic look receded but was replaced by one of trepidation.
He was speaking to her but his violet eyes appeared troubled as they gazed off into the distance.
"I heard a splashing sound in the sea, like something heavy had just dropped in, I thought it was perhaps an orca. Since we were told a herd of killer whales had been frequenting the area and I have always wanted to see them as my favorite animal. I just turned my back for a second and someone pushed me," he shuddered.
His violet eyes darkened and became as turbulent as the waves of the sea as he vividly recalled his last few moments on the yacht.
Concerned that he was starting to panic again, Charm tried to soothe him, "it was just an accident perhaps someone unknowingly bounced into you and somehow you lost your balance."
The waves were rough and the yacht might not have been steady.
It was very easy to picture Brendan losing his balance especially if he and his friends had been consuming liquor.
"Believe me," he mumbled, "I know what I felt, it was swift and forceful. That person put all their strength into it, someone wanted me gone but why?"
He groaned and then closed his eyes as if coming to terms with his near death experience.
Each of his so-called friends would be spending two years with them on Isla Serpiente.
There they would have plenty of opportunities to try again, his heart raced.
When he decided for himself that he wanted to focus on his studies and pass his exam and take a break from the limelight.
Brendan had not expected his friends to follow in his footsteps and also transfer to the same school when he was trying to get away from them.
He was not innocent, he took part in their crazy fun filled escapades and shenanigans but when the last one almost got a girl killed Brendan felt so guilty he wanted out.
Finally, his parents agreed that he could go away but only if he went to Isla Serpiente and he agreed without giving it a second thought.
Now he thought that coming here might have been the biggest mistake since the location of the school was away from prying eyes but it may very well cost him his life.
Terrified that she was losing him again, Charm shook him for dear life.
Slowly he opened his eyes as if trying to remember where he was until Brendan's eyes finally focused on Charm's face.
"I'm the luckiest man on earth to be saved by such a beauty," his eyes fluttered, "thank you for saving me."
He was talking so softly she leaned in to hear better and that's when his lips graced hers, delicately moving cautiously as if he was uncertain of the reaction he would get from her.
It was a real kiss, a magical kiss, when he looked at her facial expression and saw how delighted she was that he had kissed her he went in for seconds.
Needing the kiss to last longer the second time around, Charm, his savior, was like a lighthouse in the dark and turbulent sea.
Brendan did not understand this pull he felt towards her but she was like an anchor keeping him tied to this reality.
If Charm died she was going straight to the fiery pits of hell for all the impure thoughts that Brendan's kiss had conjured in her mind.
As their lips locked it was as if nothing else in the world existed and they got caught up in the moment as their tongues entwined.
They reached for each other out of necessity, as they felt each other's body, the warmth and smell of the opposite sex.
It was as if it was only the two of them left alone in the entire world cast adrift upon a deserted island and cuddling up closer to each other to get warmer for survival.
The roar of the engine from the yacht caused them to pull apart, shocked at their own recklessness.
She was feeling cold despite so many male eyes ogling her from the boat and she had nothing to cover herself for the sake of modesty.
On the bright side, Brendan was recovering nicely from his near death experience.
His breathing was now even and Brendan radiated heat like a furnace which made her not want to leave his side.
"I knew I saw something," yelled a disembodied voice from the boat.
All of them focused on her tousled hair and half naked state instead of her face but it was a pair of furious, darkened eyes that made her tremble for some strange reason.
