First, Lucien needed to determine where to get rid of Louis. Luckily, they lived in a small town surrounded by forests and a gorge.

He could throw the body into the gorge, though it would require extra effort. He didn't mind.

The second consideration was timing. By monitoring the weather forecast, Lucien could wait for a rainy day with thunderstorms.

The rain would obscure any trails, making it difficult even for police dogs to track, and the terrain would become harder to navigate, giving him more options to hide the body.

No body, no crime.

The third consideration was how to lure Louis into the forest. He knew a part of the forest where children were forbidden to play due to the presence of bears and homeless people.

It was kind of a weird situation but because of that, the children didn't dare to play in that area.
