Doctor Tian asked her some more questions. "How are you feeling now? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
She shook her head.
"If anything feels uncomfortable, just speak up." The doctor's voice was very gentle.
All Chenxing was aware of was a burning sensation in her head, accompanied by unease. "Am I really not going to die?" No matter how she saw it, it felt like her life was hanging by a thread.
Doctor Tian laughed: "Absolutely not."
He stood up, turned to Gu Shaocheng, and respectfully asked, "Sir, can we talk outside?"
"If I'm going to die, don't hide it from me." Chenxing blurted out upon hearing this.
Gu Shaocheng was amused by her words. His face, however, looked a bit off. Reaching out, he patted her head, "Stop overthinking. Just wait here for me."
Then, he signalled Doctor Tian to go outside with him.
Closing the door behind them, Gu Shaocheng's tone became abruptly cold, "Is there an antidote?"
