Before Lin Wei could finish speaking, Jiang Su abruptly interrupted, "I like you."
Jiang Su's voice was so soft, almost a whisper. But it hit Lin Wei like a thunderbolt, tearing through her eardrums.
She had not expected Jiang Su to drop such a bombshell out of the blue.
She was not naive. She could sense his feelings for her. However, he had never said it out loud, so she couldn't be too certain.
He had often made ambiguous remarks, stirring her emotions and leaving her disoriented.
But it was the first time he had been so forthright, candid, and explicit.
Lin Wei felt as if she were in a dream, in a daze.
Her heart was pounding at a rapid pace, her fingertips tingling from the anxiety.
After several seconds, she slowly turned her head to look at him.
His gaze on her was as deep as ever, but he looked way more serious than usual.
Lin Wei hesitated, looking stunned. Despite having heard his words, she reflexively asked, "What?"
