The air trembled with Taro's killing intent, a force that communicated his readiness to strike if provoked. His muscles tensed, ready for action, as he silently dared the Fire Wolves to make the first move.

Despite the tension in the atmosphere, Taro hesitated to engage in combat. Yves' instructions etched in his mind, urging caution and emphasizing the importance of regrouping quickly. 

Engaging in a prolonged battle with the Fire Wolves would only delay their progress and increase the risk of encountering even more dangerous monsters.

Moreover, Taro's primary concern was ensuring Yves' safety. While he trusted Fizz to protect their master to the best of his ability, Taro understood that his own strength far surpassed that of the fledgling creature. 

If they were to encounter a monster on par with Taro's own capabilities, Fizz's inexperience could prove to be a significant liability.
