The mages of Bernier City watched everything that happened with a feeling of dread mixed with horror. They had seen it all from the beginning to the end. Since the demon was summoned, it was like the gate to hell had been opened in the human realm. The sky was troubled with red clouds forming as if a big storm was approaching. A terrifying demon came out through the dimensional crack, its gigantic body revealed before them for the first time. They could have sworn that they had never seen any creature so big in their entire lives.

But instead of hunting down the Bernier people, the demon chose to kill Oran’s mages--the very group of people who summoned it. Hundreds of corpses lay on the ground, all the work of that demon. The number of dead people had far surpassed those who managed to escape.
