I know what I'd sensed. I couldn't be insane. I'd sensed that vampire and it'd been moving around the house like it owned the place. 

The only reason I was telling Kylo now was because I was scared. What if, this vampire starts coming for those I loved one by one? What If he came for me?

All these thoughts went past my head with bone-chilling detail as I watched Kylo's reaction to the news. His face scrunched up into a frown, and his eyes looked like he was deep in thought. "For once, I think you might be on to something."

I frowned, almost yelling out. "What do you mean, 'for once'? My special ability never fails me when it's activated."

I felt insulted. My ability wasn't something I shared openly with other people. It was mostly a secret, which was passed down in the DNA of those in my bloodline. My parents, being one of them...
