Capítulo 118: The Challenge

— Alexi POV — 

Sitting next to Lili as part of her family was what I had been dreaming of for years.

I craved to be with her in every way possible and here I was getting that dream. All I needed to do was to get her to fall for me too.

"You can drop the act you know," A familiar voice said from the other end of the long table the Durforts had set up in their dining room. 

I've met most of Lilith's relatives over the years, either through business functions or more intimate gatherings. I made it a point to familiarize myself with every single member of the Durfort family, but some names still illuded me.

I knew this one was a cousin, a second-degree cousin.

"What act?" Lili asked, her voice echoing across the dining room as she continued to slice the steak in front of her as if her cousin's question was simply bothersome to her.
