Capítulo 84: Ryan's Decision

Lucy ignored the question and went to sit down with a damp cloth in hand and gently patted the part of her face that was increasingly growing redder by the second.

"Dammit Lucy, tell me, who did this to you?" He slammed his fists on the table with startled her, making Ryan ashamed of his behaviour.

"Look, I'm sorry okay, what happened?"

She always thought of herself as someone strong but seeing how easily she could've lost her daughter broke her. Lucy had been holding it together for Scarlet, being questioned by Ryan made those emotions float back into the surface.

As much as she tried to keep them at bay, they came running out. She broke down unable to speak, Ryan stopped asking and embraced her.
