He told them everything he heard, "I intend to stay indoors during the day. I'll only come out at night. I can even go to the forest during the day." He shrugged, trying to make them understand that he wanted nothing but peace for them.

"Villagers use that forest too you know." Ryan had his eyes shut, arms crossed. He was certainly thinking over this seriously.

The dangers of them harbouring an unreported person was dire, but if that person was of the demon race, they didn't even want to imagine what would happen to them.

"The one beyond the river? That's mighty brave of them," said Levi nonchalantly.

There was silence, not even a clanking of plates. They all looked at Levi, pure fear in their eyes. Everybody knew about that forest, they grew up being told of the dangers some have ventured into them never to return again.
