The research facility for astronomy and atmospheric science was located in the northern part of this massive ice-covered landmass. The stretched glaciers extended as far as the eye could see.
The climate was foggy, and the air was heavy to breathe. The distant calls of orcas and the occasional chirps of penguins echoed through the silent atmosphere, reaching everyone at the research facility.
Aside from a few highly maintained structures made of expensive materials, there was no other infrastructure in this region. These buildings were set some distance from the ocean on solid ground.
Fewer than a hundred members worked at the facility, with over half being part of the maintenance crew.
In this facility, Charvis D. Neuva, a young maintenance staff member known for his hard work and positive attitude, had just finished his shift and returned to his assigned quarters.
He had worked nonstop since last night, overworking himself to impress a cute junior who had been persistently flirting with him. She was both attractive and intelligent, and her interest in him made it hard for him to resist spoiling her at every opportunity.

Thinking back to his college days, when he first watched the Naruto anime, Charvis chuckled remembering how he had skipped every fillers and only watched main episodes, or simply put, he had finished the entire anime in a few days.

Infinite potential can shine in some scenarios or if you've touched a bottleneck but what if you die at the starting? It's useless, unless you have a strong clan's backing or possess some freaking luck...
Same with Tailed-beast chakra, what's the use of so much chakra when you can't even hide it from big shots? Having so much chakra like a Tailed-beast will only cause more trouble than benefits, especially in the Ninja world where you can't even trust your own fellow villagers.
Not everyone has luck or plot Armor like Naruto, who roamed everywhere in the village since childhood without being kidnapped or killed by villagers, given their hatred for Nine-tailed beast. So, in the end, it's useless, unless you've shit ton of seals etched in your head to not betray the village. Become a loyal hound of the village or be killed like a fucking traitor if refused; that was the fate of having so much chakra. Best example would be Kaguya and her bastard childs. Even her own children betrayed her for some lowlifes, ultimately sealing her as an excuse since they couldn't kill her, simply because she chose the Evil path to strengthen herself, according to them. What a duo of Idiots.
Next is All Jutsu knowledge, which is definitely the most optimum choice in all regards. Having the knowledge of almost thousands of Jutsu in the Ninja world is surely better than Infinite potential or Tailed-beast Chakra.
Yet, the best choice out of four options is most likely Rinnegan, seemingly the most powerful Dojutsu in the entire Naruto world. With multiple overwhelming abilities already ingrained within the Eyes, you only needed to grow your Chakra amount to decent levels through training and most Jonins would find it hard to overpower you, considering how Rinnegan possessed various useful abilities that doesn't even need to be polished to employ.
One could even absorb Chakra and summon meteors for fuck sake just by simply possessing Rinnegan, and if it's one's own Dojutsu, all better. No need to worry about harmful chakra of Rinnegan fucking up your mind.
Considering the options between mastering all Jutsu knowledge and obtaining the Rinnegan, Charvis ultimately chose the latter. It was the easiest path to overwhelming power, and undeniably the best startup cheat anyone could wish for, with abilities like Susanoo and the seven different Paths of Rinnegan.
"What am I doing, seriously..." He sighed, and with a resigned shrug, pressed the Rinnegan option.
It was just a stupid pop-up; there was no need to overthink it.
First things first, he needed sleep. If he stayed up any longer, he risked physical or mental strain. Worst case, he might even catch a fever.
Without further delay, he finished his coffee, scrolled through some boring memes, and warmed his bedsheets and blankets with his body heat before finally closing his eyes.
Within minutes, Charvis drifted off to sleep.
But as soon as he did, a golden light manifested near his head, sucking in a small, spirit-like blob of light before vanishing without a trace.
It all happened in an instant, and shortly after, his heart ceased to beat entirely.
The next afternoon, Charvis D. Neuva was found dead by his companion, frozen solid from head to balls, just as he had feared.

Charvis scanned the entire room, and then his gaze settled on his small yet rough hands.
"Huh?"
Was he still dreaming?
He had woken up in an unfamiliar room, and even his once manly hands now resembled those of a child—though they were still covered in calluses.
Even if he was dreaming, where had his partner—Kaguya, whom he had yet to sleep with—gone?
"What a strange lucid dream—ahhh!!! Bloody Hell, What Now..." Suddenly, a sharp pain assaulted his mind, forcing him to let out a piercing shriek of sheer agony.
Clutching his head with both hands, Charvis felt the pain spreading from his head to his eyes. Yet, as time passed and the pain gradually subsided, he could almost feel a lock in his brain clicking open, unleashing a flood of unfamiliar yet strangely familiar memories deep within his consciousness.
The pain in his eyes lingered, but it had lessened to a mere discomfort—nothing like the torment he had endured moments before.
Charvis took a few moments to calm his mind and racing heart before murmuring in a low, unrecognizable voice, "I... transmigrated!"
Though it was hard to believe, the newly gained memories confirmed it.
The world he had transmigrated into was, surprisingly, the Naruto verse—the world of Shinobi!
He had settled into the body of a ten-year-old boy named Uzuki Yuta.
Born into the Uzuki family in Konohagakure and the same age as Naruto, it had been exactly ten years since the unfortunate day the Kyūbi rampaged through Konoha—the same day the Fourth Hokage sacrificed his life.
How did—no, who the fuck transmigrated me into this world? I never asked for this, and I sure as hell didn't consent to it...

As the memory of the pop-up he had filled before going to sleep resurfaced, Charvis's eyes widened as the realization hit him.
That pop-up window was the cause.

Almost instinctively, Charvis jerked his body up and rushed toward the mirror hanging in one corner. Although his control over the body felt slightly off, he still managed to get there almost naturally, suggesting that his Body and Soul were completely in sync.
Not that he cared—what he really wanted to know was whether he had his start-up cheat.
Standing in front of the mirror, Charvis—or rather, Uzuki Yuta—found himself completely mesmerized by the sight before him. Staring back were the beautiful and domineering concentric circles of his purple eyes, or simply put, the overpowered Dojutsu: Rinnegan, shining and glowing in both of his eyes.
