Capítulo 2357: Chapter 1626: Fishing Day (19)_1

Thor and Sif, who had finished purchasing fishing equipment, saw Loki and Gwen chatting as they pushed a shopping cart. Thor seemed a bit surprised; he didn't think Loki could immerse herself in conversations so effortlessly now. But apparently she not only got along with Gwen Spiderman, but they also seemed to have a great rapport.

Their personalities, to put it simply, are polar opposites. Loki appeared rebellious in Asgard, a result of her innate features dissimilar to most Asgardians. But in reality, her views leaned more conservatively, especially in comparison to someone like the typical American white girl, Gwen Spiderman.

So how do we describe Gwen Spiderman's personality? Simply put, she was akin to the blonde girl who stands out in every event portrayed in typical American high school dramas with her daring comments or rebellious spirit. That was a fair representation of Gwen Spiderman.

Unlike the Gwen in this world- a well-behaved, studious girl- Gwen Spiderman had a wide range of interests: anime, dance, rock music, and a room filled with related collections. She danced Latin and Cha-Cha, played rock, engaged in rap music, and was a drummer in a pioneer band.

In short, whether before or after becoming Spiderman, her personal life was anything but simple. She embodied the wildness and liberalism characteristic to American comics, with traces of a decadent punk spirit. She was drawn to death and mysticism and often pondered on pessimistic philosophical questions.

Obviously, Loki's rebellion paled in comparison to that of a rock punk girl. Gwen Spiderman frequently stunned Loki with her shocking statements.

By the time Thor and Sif found them, the two were engrossed in a deep discussion about gender, death, and nihilism. Thor had to interrupt and said, "Loki, I've prepared a fishing rod for you. Sif doesn't like fishing, so we plan to share a rod... who's this young lady?"

"My gosh, you don't recognize me?!" Gwen widened her eyes and said: "I've been accepting all those annoying errands you posted on the Spider App!"

"You're a Spiderman?! I thought Peter Parker was the only one." Thor politely looked Gwen over and then frowned, "Does Spiderman have no age requirement? You seem underage!"

"I'm almost of age!" Gwen Spiderman emphasized in a raised voice.

"Enough, stop arguing." Sif brought over the stuff they just bought and said, "It looks like this young lady also wants to join us. It's a good thing we bought an extra fishing rod. Thor and I can share one. Here, this one's for you."

After saying that, she handed one of the fishing rods to Gwen Spiderman. Gwen Spiderman was a bit taken aback and said: "You're throwing a party, right? What do you need a fishing rod for? Don't tell me I have to catch my own food."

"Of course, take it, have you ever been fishing?"

"Uh, my dad often goes fishing, but I've never seen him catch anything."

"Then we should buy more food." Loki shook her head and said: "I don't want only squid meat to eat at the party."

They strolled around the supermarket again, buying some common barbecue party ingredients such as beef, colorful peppers for skewers, lamb chops, oysters. Gwen Spiderman picked out a lot of snacks. They bought another folding table and trolley, bought board games like Flying Chess, Monopoly, Truth or Dare dice, and a deck of playing cards.

"That should do it." Gwen Spiderman said, "What matters most about a party isn't where it takes place or what to eat, but who you have fun with."

Loki gathered everything with magic. Gwen Spiderman's eyes widened when she saw this, and she exaggeratedly exclaimed: "If I'd known you could do magic, we could've bought more!"

"Believe me, those old people don't have your energy to party till late." Loki, who just finished packing the last of their groceries, replied, "And they won't have the patience to wait any longer. Let's go."

Then they all returned to the ice fishing spot. It was still early, the sky remained bright. They planned to join several ice fishing groups to catch a few fish, to prepare adequately for dinner.

But each hole they drilled in the ice was not very large. It was already pushing it with two or three people fishing around it. If they added two or three more, there would not be room for the bait.

Thor and Sif decided to drill another ice hole. Given their magic and status as a married couple, this arrangement was perfect. Meanwhile, Loki took Gwen to Shiller's group.

Before splitting into a group, Thor found Nick, the initiator of the fishing activity, to explain his arrangements, which was a basic courtesy. But Nick stopped him and whispered into his ear for a while.

The more Thor listened, the wider his eyes went. After Nick finished talking, Thor looked up at Nick, wanted to speak but hesitated several times. In the end, he said somewhat shocked, "Aren't you being a bit unscrupulous?"

Nick, however, chuckled as if he had just received a compliment, his shoulders swaying with the unique rhythm of African Americans like he was dancing on the spot. He said, "I swear this can solve your current predicament, Sif's, and maybe even Loki's."

Thor stood in place, wavering for a while, as if filing away at his moral bottom line with a rasp. Sif approached him with some concern and patted her husband on the shoulder.

Thor turned to give her a glance, gazing at Sif's somewhat weary face. A hint of anger flashed across his brow. Finally, he patted Sif's hand, signaling her not to worry, and then took his phone out of his pocket.

He seemed to be making a phone call, but in fact, he was using magic to communicate with Asgard.

"Hello? Heimdall? Connect me to line 14. Yes, the line leading to the Netherworld. I want to have a chat with Hela."

Upon hearing this name, Sif raised an eyebrow. She worriedly looked at Thor, but what Thor said soon greatly exceeded her expectations.

"Hela, it's me, Thor. Sif and I have encountered some problems managing the domestic affairs of the Fairy Palace. I've heard that you were not only in charge of frontline logistics during wartime, but you could also manage the household affairs of the Fairy Palace. We both think we could learn something from you."

"Yes, I am considering this. If necessary, you could also do a demonstration for us. I heard that no one could find fault with Asgard's diplomacy during your time in power, and everyone praised the service of the Fairy Palace."

"Yes, I believe it's better to settle this face to face, but not in Asgard—after all, Odin and Frigga.. After that, I will try to persuade them. But first, we should discuss this issue. I would like to hear your opinion."

"No, Loki is not with me right now, but Director of S.H.I.E.L.D, Nick Fury and Steve are. They hosted a winter fishing event. Sif, Loki and I all participated. I think you could also come and see… Alright, we'll see you later."

Sif looked at her husband as if she'd seen a ghost. Nick, with a hidden meaning, spoke, "Your Majesty, you can't solve any problems just by beating the administrator. Or you could even say, if you do want to beat him, you should use a proper method, right?"

"No one is craftier than humans in this respect," Thor said somewhat irritably, "You guys survive on this. I really don't understand how such a small planet as Earth could cultivate so many cunning political manipulations."

Steve was not quite following. Captain America's political acumen was sharp enough, but it was no match for old foxes like Nick Fury who had been immersed in the power field for years.

Then Nick, while releasing the squid he had caught into the tank, explained the implication behind the suggestion he made to Thor.

In sum, it was that Asgardians are also mediatory. If you say let Sif manage the household affairs of the Fairy Palace, they will inevitably pick and choose. But if you say let Hela do it, they will definitely cling to Sif's thigh, crying and begging her not to leave.

If you say let Loki be the princess of Asgard, they will disapprove. But if you say let Hela do it, they will understand that Loki's weak body, bad at fighting, is hard to find positives, even while searching with a lantern.

In fact, Hela has brought just as much fame and disaster to Asgard. The war she started against Odin, Father of All Gods, can be considered a turning point when Asgard started to decline from its prosperity.

Over the past thousands of years, Odin has nearly won every battle in the cosmos. However, it's not that he has never lost, just that the combined losses from all the battles lost so far do not compare to the price he had to pay to win against Hela. She is the daughter most like him himself, the Crown Princess of Asgard, and even a legendary princess known interstellarly. The price Asgard had to pay to defeat her and imprison her was far greater than expected.

It can be said that without the war Hela started, the path to Asgard's destruction might have taken thousands of more years. But this war has hit the Father of All Gods, Odin, and the Asgardians hard, making them reconsider the meaning of war. Since then, Asgard continued to wage wars, but they could no longer match the scales of the past.

Even Odin, well known in the cosmos as a war trafficker, felt that Hela was somewhat too cruel, can you imagine to what extent she was cruel?

Asgardians are long-lived; Hela's war seems to have passed many years ago, but for Asgardians, it's just like something from a few years ago. The madness of the Crown Princess is still fresh in their minds.

The idea from Nick is not exactly a strategic one, but it is indeed somewhat wicked. Now Hela has just escaped from the prison of the Netherworld and returned to the Nine Major Kingdoms, but she hasn't returned to Asgard yet.

If she once again steps into the Fairy Palace, the Administrator of the Fairy Palace will definitely slap himself upon waking up in the middle of nights for the following thousands of years, regretting why he hadn't work properly, allowing Thor to bring back this calamity star.

Steve also tutted after hearing the whole story and turned to Nick, "Old fellow, your advice and golden words on others' lives refresh my understanding every time."

"My honor."

Fact proved that it's somewhat infectious to take pleasure in others' misfortunes.

Finally, Thor, Sif, Nick and Steve were all a little excited, shrugged their shoulders and started laughing carelessly, as if they had already foreseen the misfortune some would face.
