Capítulo 1810: Chapter 1224: The Farm of Justice (Part 6)_1

Smallville, a town so small it couldn't become any smaller, clearly didn't have any advanced transportation systems to cater to visitors from Metropolis. Also, the nearest airport was too far away; driving would take a long time and taking the train would take even longer.

Therefore, the meeting place that Clark and Lois agreed upon was not the airport in Kansas City, but the train station in Wichita City, located towards the south. Since they were expecting two women, Clark and Bruce decided against using their ancient, worn-out pickup truck and instead borrowed a family sedan from a neighbor.

They arrived at the station early; Clark, with a notebook containing travel information in his hand, kept looking around on the platform. Before the train had even arrived, Clark excitedly said, "They're coming! They're coming!"

Bruce turned his head to look at him and asked, "Do you like Lois?"

"I do not."

"You do."

"We are just friends."

"Impossible."

Clark looked helplessly at Bruce and asked, "Are you trying to impersonate a love guru? Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Of course, I do." Bruce turned to gaze at the arriving train, "But she's recently fallen for her Hollywood dreams and doesn't have time for me."

Clark frowned, but then worriedly elbowed Bruce and said, "Make sure you don't say anything out of the line later. I haven't started courting her yet!"

Clark sighed softly, "Back in college, Lois was a goddess, a lot of people liked her. After joining the press, her colleagues adore her, the bosses appreciate her. She's unlike me, an unknown journalist who suddenly gained fame with one story. She might be the best media personality in the Metropolitan Area."

Clark rambled on until two figures walked out of the station.

The women, one tall and one short, walked out. The taller lady was incredibly tall, probably over 1.8 meters. She wore a clean white long-sleeved shirt and a black fishtail skirt. With black hair, red lips, clear eyebrows, and lip liner, her hair tied back revealing a professional demeanor.

The lady behind was wearing a floral dress and a straw hat, trailing a small suitcase behind her and holding a notebook in her hand, writing something as she walked.

"Hello, I'm Diana Prince, the curator of the Metropolitan Museum. I've heard about you from Lois long ago, it's nice to meet you, Mr. Kent."

The tall woman stepped forward and shook hands with Clark. Her words and actions were sharp and impressive.

Lois squeezed past Diana and winked at Clark, "This is Miss Prince. You've heard of her, right?"

Clark felt a bit embarrassed. He thought for a while and realized the surname "Prince" sounded familiar. Before he could say anything, Bruce stepped forward and shook hands with Diana saying, "Hello, Your Highness, Princess of Paradise Island, I've heard a lot about you."

"Bruce Wayne." Diana's eyes widened, she blinked in confusion, but still shook hands with Bruce and said, "I've heard about you for a long time, Mr. Wayne."

"Oh, I remember now, so you are the princess of Paradise Island!" Clark exclaimed. He then shyly laughed, "I'm sorry, I'm a small town boy, I often don't comprehend famous personalities."

"The gentleman at your side is the famous person you're talking about." Diana looked Bruce up and down, "…He's way more famous than me."

"Honestly, you're a bit different from the media portrayal." Diana was very blunt, "You don't appear as domineering nor flamboyant. You seem quite normal."

"You're quite congruent with media portrayal, Miss." Bruce responded, "Extraordinary beauty, professional competence, and overwhelming presence."

Clark noticed that Diana slightly frowned at Bruce's mention of beauty. However, her expression relaxed considerably once he complimented her professionalism and presence.

"Let's not stand here, Clark. How did you guys get here? We're going to your house today, won't that be imposing?" Lois adjusted her glasses and asked.

"No, not at all, I came by car, which has just enough seats. Let's get moving, we should arrive just in time for dinner. My mom has prepared a big meal since she heard two beautiful ladies will be visiting."

"That's very kind of you," Diana said.

Four people got into the car. Like Clark said, the family sedan had just enough space. When the car hit the road, Diana voluntarily started the conversation, "The agricultural view of the Metropolitan Area has always been a concern. Most of the major cities on the East Coast are not suitable for developing agriculture. Mr. Wayne, I'm sure you're aware of this."

"You can just call me Bruce." Bruce replied.

Diana tilted her head to observe Bruce, who was sitting in the passenger's seat, from the side. Bruce seemed exceptionally reticent and appeared a bit weary. He didn't at all resemble the lucky business prodigy, the helmsman of the massive Wayne enterprise, or the handsome hunter, as portrayed in the media.
