Capítulo 1629: Chapter 1093: Father and Son (Twenty-Two)_2

Shiller looked slightly downwards, viewing Polaris from above his eyes, then began to speak, "You're confused, but if you don't leave the room right now, I can't explain my stance to you."

Shiller stared at the beauty of Polaris. In terms of her age, she was not young anymore, if judging by the life experiences of ordinary people, she may have already finished her academic career and might have been struggling in society for several years.

But for some reason, all second-generation mutants like Polaris always seemed to appear younger or more naive than ordinary people.

There was always a hint of childishness in their eyes, different from the student aura ordinary people carried from school, which seemed naive and lost.

On the faces of second-generation mutants, there was always a foolish bravery. They knew nothing but were fearless. They didn't understand many principles, yet felt they were right. Logic was scarce, but emotionality was abundant.

Polaris was no longer a teenager. Like other second-generation mutants, she was approaching 30, but at this moment, her wronged expression on her face was no different from a misunderstood middle school girl.

When Polaris clenched her fist, the magnetic field around her arm became disturbed enough to hum. Scott was slightly more mature than Polaris, so he stepped forward, tugged on her arm, and said, "Lorna, let's leave…"

Polaris immediately shook off his arm, glanced at Shiller, looked at Magneto who had turned his back, gave her hair a fierce shake and said to Shiller, "Do you think I want to be here?! Do you think I want to see him?! Of course not! …Never!"

After speaking, she turned to leave. Just as she was about to step out of the door, Shiller turned to Magneto and said, "Stop her."

Magneto flicked his finger without looking back, and with a "boom", Polaris hit an invisible wall.

At this moment, Polaris was standing outside the door, unable to go any further. Shiller turned his attention back to Scott. Scott didn't say anything and obediently left the room.

By this time, Polaris outside the door was somewhat emotionally collapsed. She had too many misunderstandings about the whole matter. But the way she resolved this confusion was not by thinking for herself or asking, but by venting her emotions.

"You bunch of psychos! What the hell are you trying to do?! Do you think it's funny messing with me?!" Polaris yelled at the door, "If you hate me, just let me leave! I don't want to see any of you either!"

Scott hurriedly appeased her, "Lorna, Lorna, calm down. Doctor Schiller must have his reasons for doing this. You need to calm down so we can hear his explanation..."

But at this time, Shiller suddenly interrupted, "If we really were messing with you, what would you do?"

Polaris's anger reached its peak. She instinctively flew into the air, unfolded her magnetic field, attempted to transform herself into a magnetic field, and then burst out all her power. This was her final step to release her emotions, converting all her feelings into violence.

Shiller turned to Magneto and said, "Stop her, but don't restrain her, and don't hurt her."

Magneto turned around. He didn't move at all, but Polaris, who had already flown into the air, fell straight down.

Unlike before, Polaris wasn't pinned to the ground, unable to move by Magneto's powerful force. Instead, she lost control of her magnetic field completely and became an ordinary person.

Shiller walked to the door, stood in the doorway, looked at Polaris who had just got up from the ground and was now kneeling on the ground, then bent down and reached out his hand, saying, "I'm sorry, miss, please get up."

Polaris, whose hair was scattered on her forehead, looked up at Shiller with cold eyes and said, "You're all the same, taking pleasure in hurting others without any remorse…"

But Shiller gave a small smile. He squatted down, his eyes level with Polaris, then began to speak, "Do you know why the situation has become like this? Do you know why you're treated this way?"

Polaris simply stared at Shiller without responding. Shiller remained still until Polarishung her head and spoke in a hoarse voice, "What else could it be? Because you all are cruel and indifferent…"

"Is that what you think?" Shiller asked again.

At this time, Magneto standing behind the desk was focusing intently on the scene at the door.

Actually, he also didn't understand what Shiller was doing. He didn't get why Shiller, who was overly gentle during the conversation, suddenly started pressuring Polaris.

Polaris remained silent, but Shiller didn't show any sign of giving up. He continued to stare at Polaris, repeating his first question. If Polaris didn't answer, he would keep asking in different ways.

After being asked over a dozen times, Polaris finally broke down. She flung her hair back and yelled at Shiller, "Are you sick?! Didn't I tell you?! Because you all are evil, cruel, indifferent people! You and him are the same, you bunch of lunatics!!!"

"Is that what you think?" Shiller asked again.

Polaris was completely out of patience. She knelt on the spot, covered her face with her hands and collapsed, saying, "What the hell do you want from me?"

"I want a definitive answer," Shiller responded, "If you had nodded the first time, then by now, we should be sitting in the room having tea."

Polaris slowly lifted her head and peered through her fingers. She saw that Shiller's face didn't have a mocking smile or any sign of teasing at her disheveled state. Shiller's expression was extraordinarily serious.

Looking at Shiller's face, Polaris felt a sense of strangeness. She felt that she shouldn't have met such a person in this circle, and these eyes should not be looking at her.

Shiller should have been in a university lecture hall or at the front of a consultation room. Such focused expressions should be facing his favourite outstanding students or patients who needed his help, not her in this mess.

At this moment, Shiller asked again, "Do you really think I treated you this way because I despise you or wanted to make fun of you?"

Polaris nodded absent-mindedly, and looking through the reflection of the tiles, she saw that Shiller broke into a smile and said,

"You answered my question, so naturally, I should answer yours."

Polaris looked up at Shiller. She didn't understand why her attention suddenly focused to hear the answer.

Actually, after venting her emotions, Polaris had completely forgotten what the question was.

But when she knew she was about to hear the answer, she tried hard to recall what started all this.

Two seconds later, Polaris remembered. She originally came to save Shiller, but Shiller strangely told her to leave the room.

At the moment she remembered the question, Shiller began to speak,

"I asked you to leave the room, just so you could knock before entering again."
