Capítulo 1010: Chapter 683 U: Infinity Big Event (Part 2) _1

"I don't understand what you are saying." Dr. Octavius Parker replied.

"That's alright, it's a sort of answer too." Shiller laughed again, patted Dr. Octavius Parker on the shoulder, and then walked past him towards the spot where he had just landed.

At this moment, a very small Spider-Man, with a pig-like nose, ran in holding a child. He yelled, "Spider-Girl! Keep an eye on your brother! He won't stop crying!"

"Ah! Benjamin! He... seems to need his diaper changed again, wait for a bit..." Spider-Girl immediately jumped down from the column. She wasn't focused on Amazing Spiderman anymore, but hurried over to the dwarf Spider-Man instead, taking the baby into her arms.

Spider-Girl held the child she called Benjamin, soothing him continuously. Upon hearing the child's cries, all the Spider-Mens quieted down. They surrounded Spider-Girl, trying to amuse her brother and calm him down so he would stop crying.

While holding Benjamin, Spider-Girl sighed, "Alright, we should get back to business. Where were we?"

Standing next to her, Amazing Spiderman said, "I'm sorry, I know you loved your father, he..."

"Stop saying it." Spider-Girl interrupted him, stressing again, "Like I said, we should focus on our job now. That's the best way to honor him!"

On the other side, Shiller noticed several shadowy figures appearing behind Dr. Octavius Parker. Soon, more figures of Spider-Men appeared, the number far exceeding Shiller's expectations.

At least a dozen Spider-Men were behind Dr. Octavius Parker. Some were wearing vests, some were entirely black, some looked like Deadpool, and some were squatting on the ground with a monkey's tail.

Shiller couldn't quite make out who these Spider-Men were but he took a step back, giving Dr. Octavius Parker space. At this point, Amazing Spiderman noticed that another group of people had arrived.

As Amazing Spiderman came to the front of his group and Dr. Octavius Parker stood before the other group of Spider-Men, tension filled the hall. Amazing Spiderman squinted and asked, "How did your investigation go?"

Dr. Octavius Parker snorted, "Much better than yours. You asked me to lead the investigation into the Successor family, while you recruit new Spider-Men here. So, where are these new Spider-Men?"

Turning to Shiller, Amazing Spiderman was cut off by Shiller, who cleared his throat and said, "First of all, I'm not Spider-Man. You've got the wrong person. I have abilities similar to spider-sense, but they're not the same as yours."

"Also, I can return to my own cosmos and get in touch with the Spider-Man of that cosmos... Of course, I know him, but on one condition."

In a flash, all the Spider-Men turned to look at him. Countless spider eyes stared at Shiller, who maintained his composure and said, "Before I contact the Spider-Man of my cosmos, shouldn't you let me know what it is you're planning to do here?"

He swept his gaze over all the Spider-Men and asked, "What has brought you all together? What are you investigating?"

Just as Amazing Spiderman was about to speak, Dr. Octavius Parker preempted him, "It's none of your business. You would do well to summon your Spider-Man here quickly, or we can't guarantee his safety."

"At least tell me what the danger is," Shiller suggested.

"It's Morlun." Amazing Spiderman hurriedly said. It was clear that the relationship between him and Dr. Octavius Parker was strained, the atmosphere between them was fraught with tension. He stepped forward and sternly told Shiller,

"If you're indeed not a Spider-Man, you'd better bring the Spider-Man from your universe here as soon as possible. It's not for our sake, but for his safety."

"Perhaps this will sound absurd, but in the cosmos, there is a family known as the Successors who prey on Spider-Men. Many of our companions have died at their hands."

At this point, Dr. Octavius Parker began to speak, "Due to an experiment gone wrong, I was transported to the year 2099. There, I found the corpse of a Spider-Man, killed by a member of the Successor family."

"I've developed a transmitter that allows travel between different universes. In other universes, I've seen many more bodies of Spider-Men." Dr. Octavius Parker said.

His battlesuit, colored primarily in black and red, exerted an intimidating presence that set him apart from the other Spider-Men. Most of the Spider-Men standing behind him also had expressionless faces. Evidently, like Dr. Octavius Parker, they were not all on the side of law and order.

"I encountered a Successor who called himself Kahn. He wore a mask and was very powerful. He revealed that members of the Successor family feed on Spider-Men. We also encountered two other members of the Successor family. We were lucky to escape thanks to our timely activation of the transmitter." Dr. Octavius Parker's tone had always been flat, straightforward, without any unnecessary words, a style unlike that of a typical Spider-Man.

"Spider Silk invited me to join the Spider Legion after I had defeated Morlun. The Spider-Men saw me as their hope in defeating the Successor family. Therefore, I came here and became their leader." Amazing Spiderman continued.

"Yes." Dr. Octavius Parker crossed his arms and said, "You sent me to gather information, and ended up creating a mess here. Peter Parker, what are you doing? Did you come here to be a burden?"

"It was an accident." Amazing Spiderman explained, saying, "Spider Silk's message has been received by many Spider-Men. They are all on their way here. Soon, the Legion will have more members."

"How's your investigation going?" Spider Silk asked Dr. Octavius Parker, clearly standing on the side of Amazing Spiderman as he came forward.

Another Spider-Man, dressed in a red and blue battlesuit, stepped out from behind Dr. Octavius Parker, "I tracked down the lair of the Successor family and went to take a look. There was nothing there."

"So your investigation hasn't made any progress either?" Amazing Spiderman stepped closer to Dr. Octavius Parker and looked at him, "Imposter!"

As they stood in a confrontation, Shiller carefully observed all the Spider-Men who had appeared in the hall.

In the comics, many Spider-Men were already dead when they were discovered by the Spider Legion, having been killed by members of the Successor Family, such as Morlun, Kahn, Dorms, and so on.

However, many Spider-Men who should have been killed by the Inheritors in the comics were here and they are all alive.

Shiller speculated that this might be due to the influence of the Bat Totem. After discovering the newly born Totem, the Successor Family wanted to seize the new Totem by using Faith Power. However, to invoke Faith Power, family members must stay in the base to pray.

As a result, the Successors had less time to go hunting, and consequently, many Spider-Men managed to escape death.

Shiller hadn't directly participated in the war between Stark and Solus, so he was unsure if famous names from the comics, such as the well-known Morlun, his brother Dorms, were among the Successor Family members who died in that war. But without a doubt, the current plot was completely different from the comic books.

The Enemies that the Spider-Men had to deal with, the vampire members of the Successor family, some died in the civil war caused by the previous Bat Totem infection, some were brought into the cosmos where Iron Demon Stark resided, killed by Stark, eaten by Helen; thus, they could not be revived.

Perhaps there were some who were out hunting and did not return to their family home in time and were saved as a result, but they were no longer influential.

Only the powerful Solus is currently busy searching for his missing home amidst the vastness of the Multiverse, making it difficult for him to encounter this group of Spider-Men.

Just as the people gathered in front of the instance gate, the final boss was already taken down. Seeing the group of Spider-Men in a state of high alert, Shiller couldn't help but sigh in his heart.

This was not entirely good news; the fight with the Successor Family was one of the few brutal wars in the Spider-Man series of comics. Many Spider-Men died in this battle; this test of blood and fire spurred every Spider-Man to take a step forward.

Earlier, Shiller's fight against the Successor Family members was not to assist the Spider-Men, but simply because the family members found them first.

In order to swallow up the Spider-Men in Shiller's cosmos, the Successor Family plotted a bat invasion of New York, losing themselves in the process, which led to the birth of the Bat Totem.

The family members, still not satisfied, wanted to control the Bat Totem, lost everything they had as a result. Now, the once massacring Successor Family left only one lonely old man, Solus.

At this thought, Shiller came up with a plan and said, "You're right. Every universe's Spider-Man is in danger, and Peter Parker whom I know, probably won't escape this catastrophe."

"Since that's the case, you need to stick together. Now, send me back to my universe, I'll bring him here."

Hearing Shiller say this, Amazing Spiderman breathed a sigh of relief. He put up a hand to ease the tension, saying, "Thank you for your understanding, sir. I haven't been this tense in a while."

"That's fine. Peter and I have a good relationship, I don't want him to be in danger. You will ensure his safety, right?"

"We'll do our best." Spider Gwen chimed in, but then Dr. Octavius Parker interrupted, "War will inevitably cause casualties. Everyone is at risk of injury and death. If he cannot even acknowledge this, then it's better not to come."

Amazing Spiderman tugged hard at Dr. Octavius Parker's arm, seemingly dissatisfied with his statement, but Shiller didn't say anything and disappeared into the transmission light.

Soon after, another figure in a Spider-Man Suit arrived in the hall. As the light faded, Peter was shocked to see so many Spider-Men.

The Amazing Spiderman at the front stopped upon seeing Peter. "Wait a minute," he said, "You're younger than me, how old are you this year?"

Peter responded reflexively, "I just started college, what's up?"

All of the Spider-Men fell silent while Dr. Octavius Parker sighed, looking at Spider Silk and asked, "Are you sure he has defeated a member of the Successor Family?"

"I say... why don't we just invite his teacher back." Amazing Spiderman turned and remarked in a low voice to Spider Gwen.

"Um, hello, I heard the Spider Legion is recruiting, so I came. What do you want me to do?" Peter scratched his head and asked.

"Firstly, we need to confirm what you can do," Dr. Octavius Parker looked at Peter and declared, "Don't tell me, what you're best at is doing homework or cheating by using spider silk when you can't catch the school bus."

"I never miss the school bus!" Peter refuted.

Just as Peter was about to introduce himself, a sharp tentacle lunged towards him. His spider-sense triggered, Peter jumped sideways sticking to the pillar next to him.

"What are you doing! Superior Spider-Man!" Amazing Spiderman exclaimed.

At the same time, Dr. Octavius Parker also sprang into action, using the four tentacles on his back to grip the pillar behind him. After compressing for a jump, he pounced on Peter, saying,

"Let me see, just how much strength does this kid who defeated the Successors truly possess!"
