"Oh, how did you get my number?" Yvonne said, as her mouth was slightly open.
"I have my way. It is easy to get someone's number nowadays," she replied casually. "Anyway, the reason why I called was because of something else."
Yvonne shifted her leg. "What is it?" she asked.
"I would love to be your friend," she said. "I said it last night, and I'll say it again. Let's be friends and get to know each other more. When talking with you last night, you sounded so intelligent, so let's meet."
Yvonne scoffed inwardly. Yvonne wondered why she was so adamant about being friends with her. Is that how friendship works?
Friendship, Yvonne believed, should be natural. But since Claire wants to be her friend so badly, she could try to be her friend. Perhaps through friendship, she could learn more about what happened to her sister.
