"Your Majesty!" Adeline shook her head, struggling to comprehend the situation. "How can you be so cold about this? Ragnar's decision is cruel."
Sophia sighed, her expression softening slightly.
Adeline looked at Sophia, her eyes wide with disbelief. "I could never do what Rast has to do. It's unimaginable. How can you expect him to execute someone he considers a brother?"
Sophia's gaze was steady. "Because it's what needs to be done."
Adeline's voice trembled as she spoke. "I can't help but think… what if I were in Rast's position, and I had to carry out such an order against you, Your Majesty? I wouldn't be able to do it."
Sophia's eyes softened further, and she placed a reassuring hand on Adeline's shoulder. "I am sorry for Rast but, again, it's what need to be done."
