Leslie's question earned laughter from Calix. Pressing his head on her shoulder, he secured his arms around her waist. The light vibrations of his body were channeled to her.

In disbelief, Leslie smacked Calix's back, "Hey! Don't just laugh ah!"

"Hahaha! Sorry! Sorry! I just carried you up. You didn't realize, en?"

Calix held back from laughing too much. Tilting his chin up, his lips melted into a smile. Honey dripped from his eyes the longer he looked fondly at Leslie's flushed face.

"...why are you looking at me like that?" asked Leslie weakly. Not knowing where to place her hands, she kept grasping both sides of Calix's shoulders.

"Can't I look at my wife like this?" Calix raised his brows. His teasing tone was imbued with affection, "My beloved wife, en?"
