Capítulo 339: He Needed to Return Home to His Dog

Evelyn's brief visit didn't bother Calix much as he focused on completing his tasks for the day. Following his determination from the morning, he managed to settle most of them before five o'clock.

The sun had dipped from the peak of the sky, waiting to set in a few more hours.

Before Calix ended his phone call with Leslie and Calliope, once again he said he would return home as soon as possible. He also asked what kind of dishes they wanted to have for dinner tonight.

"Aunt Wendy said she'll cook for us... tonight. Won't you be tired... after working the entire day?"

Understanding that both Leslie and Aunt Wendy were thinking of his well-being, Calix simply agreed. There was nothing to argue about. He could still cook for his wife and daughter next time.

As for Calliope...

"Papa! Come home and let's play!"
