Capítulo 239: Tell the Truth or Fabricate Lies

Calix and Leslie lay together on the bed, trying to get some rest whether they ended up napping or not. They managed to ease some of the tension stemming from the slight chaos.

Over one hour later, a female helper—Mrs. Zhao—came to fetch the spouses. Old Madam Xu specifically chose her, knowing her ability to assist Leslie if needed.

Mrs. Zhao was a certified caregiver. She used to work for a care home before coming to the Xu family's ancestral home. The middle-aged woman usually worked close to Old Madam Xu.

While Mrs. Zhao helped Leslie to get ready, Calix waited outside. He simply freshened up by washing his face.

"Second Young Madam, you're in good shape," praised Mrs. Zhao as she gently pressed Leslie's right forearm, "The old madam worries about you but, I think you're getting better quicker than most people."
