Capítulo 178: Watching the Spouses' Interactions

After another bout of crying, Irene finally went to wash her face in the nearby washroom. Calix and Leslie stayed in the lounge.

"Her reaction was better than I thought," Calix chuckled while referring to Irene's antics. He served the desserts and drinks on the coffee table, "All in all, she seems so happy."

"That's good..." Leslie's smile was tinged with helplessness, her eyes softening, "I just want to... have a nice chat... with her... today..."

"You'll surely do."

Aunt Wendy made two desserts to welcome Irene for the first time. She baked yuzu bread pudding and strawberry yogurt cake. Aside from those, she also included spicy mayo egg sandwiches.

For the drinks, Aunt Wendy prepared iced butterfly pea tea with fresh slices of lemon on the side. A glass jar of mineral water accompanied the tea.
