Maria POV "Afraid of what?" I asked chuckling darkly, but deep down, I was scared to my Bones. What if he decides to sack me? Oh! Mum will never help me financially, she will always remind me I'm of age to start making my money and even get married. I pray this satanic boss of mine doesn't sack me."You just Insulted your boss, or are you forgetting it already?" With the posture that we were in, I wasn't able to reply to him, just stare at him like a lost dog. "Let's stop already, have a great day," I said walking past him but he gripped me on my right hand, drew me closer to himself, and gave me a tight hug. I walked down to my office, all eyes were on me. "Don't tell me, they know what happened," my inner mind said, I shiver a little. I sat down on my chair, and click open my system but all eyes were still on me, some talking and pointing hands at me. "Hey, what's up? Why is everyone staring at me in such a manner," I asked my seatmate. Our office is just a very big one that occupied almost all the workers in the company, except for the most important workers, so there's room for gossip and More. "Seeing how our boss walked out of the backyard smiling like he won an award, they all think you guys did something funny, but never mind, we have a lot of work to do than to entertain gossip," she said switching her system on. We all have our system and our site has a great distinction. Daniel POV After my sister, Agatha, dropped me at school, she got back home, home alone is her story right Now. I don't know how she stays alone, thanks to her phone, at least she uses it to overcome boredom."Hey, Danny," a voice said behind me, the voice sounds familiar. I turned immediately, and behold her, someone I'm seriously crushing on. I almost shy away but then I remember what my sister, Agatha, would always tell me. I heard my teacher say, but I'm just so clueless about what she asked, I mean I wasn't paying attention, how am I supposed to know? "I'll answer on his behalf, ma'am," Anna, my crush said, and answered the question even before our teacher permitted her. "That's good, let's clap for her," and everyone clapped for her, she sat down, not feeling like she did well, unlike some of the girls, who would carry their shoulders and boast to their sit mates how intelligent they are. I'm just lucky to sit with Anna today, cause her to sit mate, Sofie, isn't around. "Next time, try and pay attention to the teacher, never get distracted by anything," Anna said to me on our way to the cafeteria, doing lunch period. "I always do, but I was lost in your world, next time I will try not to be absent-minded.""There will be no next time. Sofie is resuming tomorrow," she said without an expression on her face.I like her a lot, probably this isn't a crush, what I'm feeling for her. I wish she was my sister or a best friend, nothing more and nothing less.
