Sohel and Naomi were hiding behind a wall, looking at the control room across the lobby. Sohel found it strange that there was a real lack of people. No gunmen were sighted in the whole path they walked to come here. Just then a loud bang was heard from the roof of the south building, followed by metal cracking noises. Sohel whispered, "That idiot. Always has to blow something up."
ARIA said, "Sir, we're back online. I've connected back to the UAV."
"Good. Send a signal for backup and show me the UAV feed of the control room."
"Yes, LT."
Sohel saw a holographic model of the control room and all the people inside. Sohel orders ARIA, "Mark everyone holding a gun hostile. Find optimal breaching method."
"Yes, LT."
A few moments later, ARIA projected a simulation in Sohel's glasses. Sohel watched the simulation and explained to Naomi how the breaching would go. They went back to the cafe and picked up two AK47's and came back. They slowly reached the control room door. As Sohel was going to open the door, a speaker in the lobby buzzed.
Naser's voice came from the speakers: "Don't do that, my friend. If you value your comrade and childhood friend's life, I'd advise that both of you drop your weapons and come in."
Just as the voice stopped, a TV turned on, showing the CCTV footage of the control room. Sohel and Naomi were shocked to see Mitali and Jacob pinned to the ground. Hands tied behind their backs and faces bloodied by their own blood. Naomi murmured, "When did he..."
Naser's voice came through the speakers again,
"Come on, my friend. I don't have all day."
Sohel clenched his fist, still holding the trigger. But dropped the weapon. Naomi dropped her weapon too.
"Good boy. Now quickly come inside."
Sohels said something to Naomi, and they both opened the gate and went inside. Just as they entered the room, two people came from behind and pinned them to the ground.
