Capítulo 9: Leaving Kamino..... Again

And there a Senator stood.

I was shocked, while Senators are usually prime targets for hostages, their rescue was extremely hard and had I known it was a senator I wouldn't have done this the same way, as they could have shot him and I'd be demoted or court marshaled.

The Senator wasn't held back but was just wandering around in his room.

"Come on, let's go." I said, the senator just nodded. I guess they couldn't speak.

He followed behind me as we exited the apartment.

"Stay here" I told him as I exited the apartment and checked both sides. After confirming nobody was there I ran to the corner I arrived at first, nobody was there but the pikes were organizing a defense at the 3rd floor entrance.

"Come here, sir." I told the Senator and he began moving towards me.

There was an emergency map beside me and I looked at it. There was an entrance at the other end of the corridor, we would need to run while the pyke soldiers shot at us, but we would make It work.

"When I say go, run around the corner and head straight for the emergency exit there." I said and he nodded like always.

"3" I began

"2" I said as I readied my carbine in a position to fire.

"1" I said as I placed my foot around the corner.

"Go!" I screamed as I stepped forward and crouched on the ground.

I heard the senator run behind me as I aimed at their defensive position.

They had set up a turret, the fuck?

I quickly aimed at the gunner and shot 3 shots, best to be 100%. I then followed by firing at those having readied their guns, a lot of them were luckily still taking their gun up.

I shot 5 precise shots, killing 5 of them. I turned my weapon to a water emergency sprayer and shot it, releasing water on the pyke soldiers. It didn't do much to the few veteran pyke soldiers but the new guys flinched and their aim went off.

With this, I quickly marked the experienced ones in my mind and began targeting them.

No matter how experienced you are, only Jedi and a few Mandalorians manage to turn their head to dodge a bullet from a GALAAR-15 Carbine.

And as such another 6 guys fell after 7 shots.

I looked behind me and realized the Senator was at the emergency exit, entering it as I spoke. I immediately turned around and began sprinting.

Every 10 meters I turned my upper body around and shot with my right hand only. I had a smaller chance of hitting while running the opposite way and therefore aimed at their body. After being halfway there a rain of fire began arriving, all of them having regained their composure and began firing back.

I began running in a Zig-zag formation barely avoiding most of the bullets. I took a shot to my right hand making me drop my carbine and making the hand useless, a part of the simulation. I also took one in the right shoulder. But apart from those I managed to get to the emergency exit. I locked the door behind me as I turned to the Senator.

"You know how to use a gun right?" and he nodded, I then handed him my right WESTAR as I could only use one, and took out my left one.

With that we began going down the stairs, me looking down and him looking up.

And on the last floor, 2 Pyke men stood waiting.

I shot the 1st one then I used all my feet's strength to jump into the wall barely dodging the 2nd guy's shot before killing me. However, that's when the Senator shot a shot. Killing a 3rd guy tryna come from a side entrance. He saved us both, phew.

After that, we entered the exit ending the mission.

The screen then resounded.

"Great job, you scored 92 out of 100 on Max difficulty, CT-8788." the machine said as I came back to reality.

My hand was not useless anymore but it still hurt like fuck. But I turned around and began walking to my quarters, time to test the Mandalorian outfit.

Soon I entered my office where the new set of Mandalorian armor stood. I first tried the helmet on, due to the fact I was a copy of Jango Fett I fit perfectly as I was his size, height, and build. I tried the helmet first.

The first thing I realized was that through the visor you didn't see the usual color but it was instead a mix of green and red. It also had a HUD which allowed me to select targets to be marked and allowed me some information from different targets. Such as when I looked at the DC17 Pistol it showed me what it was, there was also a communications system that allowed me to join other Mandalorian communications devices as it was its own category for that, but also other communications servers. It also had two different mini cameras on the side which allowed me to look behind me and in my blind spots and though I couldn't feel it, I knew the helmet had a 2-hour air tank and filtering system. Lastly, it had infrared and radar scanning lenses.

Then it was the armor. It took me about 6 minutes to get it on properly and secure. The armor also came with a bit of clothing.

Although Jango had a cool Mandalorian armor, it wasn't the best to exist there. It included a chest and shoulder armor connected with a vest. His shoulder pads were quite smaller than the usual Mandalorian but it would work. The Armor also had Gauntlets on his forearms which was also made by Beskar. I also had black gloves to go with them. The armor down both his legs with small parts not being connected, including, boot, shin, knee, thigh, and cod armor. Lastly, it had a ammo belt across his lower stomach and 2 pistol holders on his knee.

"Hmm this is quite good, I just need to change my clothes under to black and potentially recolor the blue on the helmet to black." I spoke aloud.

And with that, I removed the armor. And I put it back into the suitcase. I would need to fix or get the jetpack removed due to damages during the battle. I also realized I only had one WESTAR-34 Pistol due to the second being cut in half by Windu.

After putting everything back into their spot I hid them under my bed as I went out again.

I went straight to the cantina and got the training meal. Usually, there are different meals, if you've been training hard physically the entire day then you get more protein and a larger meal to not halt your growth.

I found those 5 guys who helped us during yesterday's fight and began talking with them. Cheek, Gonk, and Stenge were busy with their new regiments and battalions while Tyr and his battalion mostly chilled. But Tyr was doing some strategic training or some shit. And these 5 were from Tyr's battalion so they didn't have anything to do so we sat there talking for multiple hours until we eventually had to go back to our dorms.

When I arrived at my desk I had gotten a message from Wolfie informing us that we would be departing in the 9th hangar. The entire corp and my unit would be stationed in the front to the right.

I sent that to all my Battalion commanders so they knew where to station their units. Luckily I didn't have specific units assigned to me and only needed to place them when they arrived and not rally them and stuff.

After doing that I went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up at 7 AM. Got dressed in my full uniform.

A yellow helmet, armor with yellow color stripes, and pants with yellow color stripes. A visor attached to my helmet and a grey kama with a white outline. I also attached my pistol holster and the pistols. I put the Vibrosword on my back and the DC15A into my bag. The bag was large. It was a floating platform. It was large enough that I barely got my 3 sets of off-duty clothes, maintenance equipment, and daily stuff alongside my new Mandalorian stuff.

Usually, I would head straight to the rally grounds. However, I wanted to bring my Mandalorian stuff straight to our capital ship. And as such I went to the closest hangar. The 87th Hangar. I arrived within 3 minutes, the advantage of air being a main type of escort.

Once I arrived there were tens of LAATs waiting for duties or transporting and I quickly found one.

"Could you take me to the Acclamator assigned to the 104th Legion?" I asked as I stood beneath his pod.

"Yes, Commander." He said robotically as I nodded and simply went in. I secured my cargo before giving the green light.

And with that, the LAAT took off. It took 15 minutes of high-speed travel to even find my Acclamator. There were about 20 different venators and about 100 Acclamator Class Cruisers and about

After arriving at the Acclamator I quickly got the information about the Acclamator onto my comms, including a map which allowed me to quickly get to my chambers and unload my stuff. My current chambers were a bit smaller than the one at Kamino but I still had my room all to myself.

After that I quickly went to the bridge, the Captain wasn't here yet. So I checked our Naval Section on the Holo-Table. We had 4 ships in our Section, which was assigned to my Legion. I had 1 Acclamator as my capital shit and 3 Arquitens Class Light Cruisers. The Arquitens each had 50 starfighters so we had 150 V-19 Torrent Starfighters, 66 LAAT/t transports ( infantry ) 14 LAAT/I transports ( tanks ) 320 speeders, 36 self-propelled artillery, and 48 AT-TE Tanks.

While this wasn't enough to take over a planet it would work to engage with a small separatist ship or squadron.

With that, I went back to the hangar and took the same LAAT back towards the 9th Hangar.

Once I arrived a few battalions were beginning to form up, Tyr had gotten his elite battalion set up already but the shinies were taking longer. Meanwhile, Sinker was halfway through his regiment.

Plo Koon was standing there with Wolffe. I decided to approach them.

"Commander, General." I said as I saluted them both.

"Greetings, Dust." Plo Koon said being as friendly as he usually is.

"Hello, Senior Commander Dust." Wolffe said in his stoic tone, no getting around that.

"So, where is our first destination?" I asked

"We will first go to Corelia. Where we will be given 3 extra Venators. We will also meet the rest of our Sector Army there. Then we will travel to Dorin to get some news supplies and lastly, we will regroup with the rest of the Sector Armies and Mace on Ord Mantell." Wolffe said.

"Alright, and how long will this take in total?" I asked.

"It will take 2 days to arrive at Corellia, we will stay in Corellia for 2 weeks to properly organise our armies. It will then further 2 days to reach Dorin where we will stay for an hour and then it will take 6 hours to reach Ord Mantell. So a total of 2 and a half week." Plo Koon said while manhandling his chin.

"I see, I'll make sure to properly train my troops during that time." I said with a smile. Though nobody saw it.

"Aye, I'll make sure everyone is training and will even hold my own training session for every battalion." Wolffe said. I'm pretty sure that if someone took off his helmet they would find a odd smile plastered on his face, probably a bit sadistic.

And with that, I walked away. I walked to Tyr who just got his 2nd battalion in spot.

"How's it going Tyr?" I asked him while punching his shoulder lightly.

He looked at me like I was a troll, though you couldn't see it before he said.

"Going good, the shinies are a bit inexperienced in forming up into anything larger than a battalion, not to say I am experienced though." He said as he had a slight shrug under his helmet.

"Well, you learn from doing it." I said as I laughed inwardly. That's the most meaningless sentence I have ever said before. And with that, I walked away. Tyr stared at my back for a few seconds but eventually shook his head and turned back to his regiment.
