His words did not wipe away the suspicion that was on her face and Richard smiled at her reaction.

"What a smart woman I have. I must have done a lot of good things in my previous life to deserve this." He remarked.

It was true that there was more than what she had seen up to now but he did not see the need to tell her everything. She would either accept him or she would distance herself from him and that was not something that he was looking forward to.
