Capítulo 94: Chapter 94: The First Encounter with the Queen of the Void

"You mean Rita attacked Sirin and the others, just to take the humanoid mechs, and ultimately failed?" Chase held the communication device, asking with keen interest on the other end of the device.

"That's right, I didn't say it wrong, and you didn't hear it wrong either," the voice of Gray Snake came from the other end of the communication device, affirming Chase's question.

"And then?"

"After Rita failed to seize it, she decided to destroy the humanoid mechs, but her electronic eye had already been taken by you," Gray Snake's voice remained cold and mechanical, "so she chose to take direct action, but due to Sirin's intervention, the humanoid mechs only suffered some damage."

Chase couldn't help but recall what Otto had said during the first simulation:

Give the enemy what they fear the most; withhold what the enemy desires.

"But at least it caused some trouble for the Entropy side, didn't it?" Chase asked, "The plan is proceeding as you anticipated, Gray Snake, you should be pleased."

"White Dove, you did well," Gray Snake praised, "Now, the Entropy team has received communication from Kiana and is discussing heading to the Arc City."

"Arc City?" Chase was puzzled.

"If you're curious, you can check Entropy's database yourself. I won't go into details," Gray Snake paused and continued, "White Dove, just know that when the snake returns, chaos will follow."

"Trust me, you won't regret joining the World Snake's decision." With that, Gray Snake ended the communication.

Listening to the busy tone in the communication device, Chase sighed. He had initially wanted to bring up the matter of a salary increase with Gray Snake due to his outstanding performance.

Oh well, maybe next time.

[Act 1: Arc City Meteor: Identify and resolve the hidden crisis in Arc City.]

Chase sat on the sofa, deep in thought.

Having joined the World Snake, he now had a certain understanding of their plans.

Stigmata Plan—the current plan the World Snake is executing in Arc City.

Sacrifice the majority of humanity, preserve those with awakened Stigmata, and eliminate human emotions to only retain rationality, thus preventing the birth of Herrschers. Through the Stigmata space, distribute the burden of Honkai Eruptions among all Stigmata bearers, effectively eliminating Honkai disasters.

Survival of the fittest, the law of the jungle—that is the essence of the Stigmata Plan currently carried out by the World Snake.

Although cruel, it's undeniably an extremely flawed plan. After all, it directly erases a significant portion of human potential.

Chase doesn't fully agree with the ideology of the World Snake; he believes there must be a better way.

As for an effective solution, Chase doesn't have a clue, but he does have homework to copy!

Around him is someone who has successfully cleared the Honkai catastrophe, right? Once they're out, all he has to do is ask Mr. Welt. Obtaining the strategy guide should be a piece of cake!

"Chase, are you listening?" Kiana stood by the wall with a map hanging on it, looking at Chase with a somewhat serious expression. Clearly, the girl was a bit dissatisfied with Chase's distracted state earlier.

"Oh, I'm listening. What's up, Kiana?" Chase sat up straight, pulling himself back from his chaotic thoughts, and smiled. However, the smile carried a hint of awkwardness, not entirely hidden.

"So, Kiana, when did you realize that someone was manipulating the disasters in Arc City?"

Kiana's expression became somewhat solemn. After a pause, as if hesitating or preparing her words, she continued, "A few days ago, during a cleanup of the dead, I saw a familiar face."

"It was a woman I had saved not long ago. When I saw her face clearly, I was greatly shocked..."

"I had asked the Class Monitor before if the disasters in Arc City were a sign of the awakening of 'her' inside me again. The Class Monitor explained that if the Herrscher personality inside me summoned the Honkai beasts, they should appear around me."

Somehow, when Kiana mentioned the Herrscher personality, she discreetly glanced at Chase's reaction. Seeing that he appeared completely normal, she breathed a sigh of relief and continued,

"It was the Class Monitor's words that reminded me. Honkai beasts and the dead are always attracted to places with higher Honkai concentration."

As Kiana spoke, she accurately pinned each tack into the map of Arc City in her hand.

"Look, mark every disaster site on the edge of Arc City on the map, and you'll find that these locations vaguely surround a central point."

"The industrial zone of Schicksal Pharmaceuticals." Chase naturally continued the conversation, inwardly marveling at Kiana's intelligence. She was quite clever, very different from his silly sister, Sirin.

He praised her with a smile, "Excellent deduction. At least, Kiana, your current deduction doesn't deviate much from the intelligence I've gathered."

"Kiana is really reliable..." Chase sighed, suddenly feeling a bit nostalgic for Sirin. If that silly girl woke up to find her brother missing, she would surely cry and make a scene, rolling on the floor in distress. And by her side would be the anxious Bella and the helpless Welt.

Chase speculated that Sirin would probably be rolling on the floor while muttering phrases like "I don't care, I don't care, I don't care"...

Oh no, vivid images are forming. Stop, stop.

Seemingly pleased with Chase's praise, Kiana scratched her head in a somewhat embarrassed manner and shyly said, "The only advantage of a nomadic life is probably that it doesn't allow people to become lazy..."

"So, Kiana, what's your plan?" Chase fell silent for a moment and asked.

"The Class Monitor said we can pull down Schicksal and let them investigate the truth. That's what I discussed with Sister Hua in my mind." She paused and then answered, "It's almost time. Maybe we won't need to drag Schicksal down ourselves; they'll come on their own."

Chase commented, "It's getting late. Get some rest." He looked out the window and said to Kiana.

Seeing that Chase had no intention of continuing the conversation, Kiana did not ask further questions. She obediently returned to a room she had temporarily organized to rest. Chase also headed to a bedroom and fell asleep with his head on the pillow.

But it seemed he didn't sleep well. In a daze, Chase seemed to sense something and slowly opened his eyes, meeting a pair of golden eyes.

"..."

He thought, he did wake up quite abruptly.
