"Welcome, young man. What type of flowers are you looking for?" Entering the flower shop, Eiji was greeted by a kindly aunt.
"Do you have Red Spider Lilies?" He inquired.
"Of course, how many bouquets would you like?"
"Just two arrangements."
"Alright, please wait a moment; I'll prepare them for you."
"Um."
While waiting for the aunt to prepare his order, Eiji glanced around the flower shop. The air was filled with a pleasant fragrance, and the variety of beautiful flowers was a feast for the eyes, making the place inviting.
It was Eiji's first time in a flower shop, and he found himself enjoying the experience.
"Sorry for the wait; here is your order. The total is 1,000 yen."
"Thank you."
Placing the money on the table, Eiji took the bouquets from the aunt and smelled the flowers.
"Are you going to pay respects, young man?" The aunt asked. She had been running the flower shop for almost 15 years, understanding the language of flowers was a basic skill to operate this business.
Red Spider Lilies held various meanings, such as never meeting again, forgotten memories, and being left behind. Specifically, the bright red color symbolized guiding the departed souls in the afterlife.
"Um. I want to visit my parents' graves." Eiji replied calmly.
"Eh... My condolences." The aunt expressed her sympathy. She hadn't expected the young man before her to be an orphan at such a young age.
.....
Eiji's parents were buried in the Aoyama Cemetery, one of the most famous cemeteries in Tokyo, located in the Aoyama district of Minato. It served as the burial ground for many prominent families, including the Japanese royal family, politicians, artists, and entrepreneurs.
Whenever a member of the three Great Sorcerer Families passed away, they would be buried here.
Eiji's parents were also laid to rest here. He walked along the path lined with yet-to-bloom cherry blossom trees on both sides.
Usually, the Kamiki Family wouldn't be able to afford the expensive grave rental fees. However, with Eiji being born as the Six Eyes bearer, all expenses were covered by the Gojo Family.
*Tap Tap Tap*
The sound of Eiji's footsteps echoed clearly. As the buried individuals were elites, there was no one else around. Essentially, this area was not open to the public, and only family members were allowed into the Aoyama Cemetery.
"Worthy to be the cemetery of Jujutsu Sorcerers. Not a single Cursed Spirit in sight." Eiji remarked, observing his surroundings.
It should be noted that Cursed Spirits were metaphysical beings that emerged from the negative energy of humans, such as fear, hatred, or anger.
Cemeteries were one of the places most likely to generate Cursed Spirits.
In one month of work, Eiji had visited several graves to exorcise Cursed Spirits there.
"There are too many graves..."
Arriving at the graveyard area, Eiji frowned, seeing hundreds of graves in front of him. It was his first time here, and he didn't specifically know the location of his parents' graves.
Fortunately, his arrival was quickly noticed by the staff on duty. After offering their assistance, Eiji explained his problem.
With the staff's help, Eiji was led to his parents' graves.
"Kamiki Akio... Kamiki Mayumi..."
Placing the flower bouquets in front of the graves, Eiji joined his hands, closed his eyes, and began to pray.
"Father, mother, I apologize for visiting you late. I am Kamiki Eiji, the son you both saved at the cost of your lives."
"If you're in heaven, you don't need to worry. I've grown well, eating vegetables I don't like, practicing, and studying to become stronger."
"Although we didn't have the chance to nurture an emotional relationship, thank you for bringing me into this world."
"Rest assured, I won't waste the sacrifices you made. I won't be killed by anyone."
On his 5th birthday, Eiji not only restored Lin Fan's memories but also remembered the time when his parents fought to save him from Evil Jujutsu Sorcerers who wanted to kill him.
Whether it was a blessing or a curse, he wasn't too emotional about his parents' deaths since then. Since that moment, Eiji realized he wasn't normal. He was too apathetic and insensitive to emotions.
Of course, he could feel emotions like a normal person; he just needed a strong trigger to evoke them.
That's why Eiji always appeared calm and rarely showed any emotions on his face.
"That's it. I'll come again next year."
After conveying what he wanted to say, Eiji burned incense and left.
.....
3 years later.
Thursday, January 10, 2016.
Barren area behind the Gojo Family Residence.
"Hah... Hah... Hah..."
Lying on the ground, Eiji, dressed in sportswear, panted heavily as if he had just run a 1000-meter marathon.
"Failed again. How do Sukuna and Kenjaku use Domain Expansion without barrier? I've been training my Domain Expansion for 5 years, but there's still no progress."
Staring at the floating clouds in the sky, Eiji pondered over his question. Unfortunately, he didn't find the answer.
"One reason Satoru Nii-san lost to Sukuna is because Unlimited Void lost to Malevolent Shrine. Since his Domain was destroyed, the guaranteed attack capability from Malevolent Shrine would penetrate Infinity."
"Moreover, unlike ordinary Domain Expansions that would create barriers, Malevolent Shrine surpasses the submission of Unlimited Void. As a result, Satoru Nii-san's Domain was destroyed by Sukuna from the outside."
Eiji acknowledged that Domain Expansion was the Jujutsu Sorcerers' and Cursed Spirits' main trump card. Since it would consume a large amount of Cursed Energy, the average user could only perform Domain Expansion once a day.
Of course, there were always exceptions in this world.
Thanks to the Six Eyes and abundant Cursed Energy, Gojo Satoru could use Domain Expansion up to five times a day.
As the bearer of Six Eyes, Eiji could only use Domain Expansion up to three times a day at most. Moreover, the amount of Cursed Energy was only half that of his cousin due to the Heavenly Restriction.
As for Sukuna... Eiji didn't know how many times the other party could use Domain Expansion in a day. However, he was sure it would exceed his and his cousin's.
"The domain barrier is weak against attacks on its outer skin. The solution to this is simple, that is, the Domain doesn't require barriers like Sukuna and Kenjaku. Unfortunately, even though it sounds simple, materializing it is very difficult."
Eiji sighed deeply.
Every day, he would use three Domain Expansions here. All of this was done to eliminate the barriers that automatically formed.
And his efforts still hadn't borne fruit.
"I still have three months before school starts..."
Considering the approaching plot time, Eiji began to run out of time.
"My strength has stagnated. No matter what I do, I can't get stronger. This world doesn't have a method to make me stronger."
Contemplating future enemies, Eiji's determination solidified.
"Since this world can't do it, I'll try in another world."
