Chapter 54 Trying to Meditate...

Jin Wei and Kaiya were both inside a dark cave, but the light was still coming from the entrance, and the sound of water falling could be heard outside.

Kaiya was currently on top of a large rock unconscious, and Jin Wei was patching her up using her clothes that had been torn apart by the goblins. Around them lay a group of dead goblin corpses that had been killed recently.

After escaping from the forest, Jin Wei found this large cave hidden by the fountain's continuous waterfall. He specifically chose this place because of how well-hidden it was, and due to the continuous waterfall, their scent would be hidden as well.

Even if some monster did come, they wouldn't be able to sense their presence because of this fountain. In short, this was a perfect hideout for now.

"Huf…" Jin Wei let out a deep breath and fell to the ground after finishing patching up Kaiya. He was quite exhausted. He had been running around the dungeon for a few hours now, with Kaiya on his back.

Although he did encounter more goblins on his way, he was able to easily crush them with his newfound strength.

But still, Jin Wei was already out of both blood energy and star energy. Although he drank blood when he was unconscious, which helped him regain a bit of his blood energy, but, most of it was used during his regeneration. Now he was almost out of blood energy.

Due to this, Jin Wei now couldn't overlook the fact that this dungeon had a shortage of oxygen. And since now he lacked blood energy which he previously used to not suffer from lack of oxygen, so now, he also had to breathe like normal people to stay normal.

Although even if he did not breathe, he wouldn't die, it still wouldn't be comfortable like before when he had blood energy, and his fighting power would decrease with time.

"Ahhhhh… I guess now I need to drink blood and recover my blood energy as soon as possible, or else, my strength will decrease with each passing moment....." Jin Wei muttered as he let out an exhausted breath.

Then he got up again and began to gather the goblins' corpses one by one into a place far from where Kaiya was staying. Jin Wei then sat on the ground in a lotus position.

"This is the first time I am trying this out. Let's see what happens…" Jin Wei muttered and closed his eyes.

Jin Wei was currently trying to use the true form of the blood evolution technique, which is not the regular method he normally uses. In the regular method, all he had to do was consume any type of blood and mix it with the star energy in his body to convert it into blood energy. This is a slow and ineffective method.

The method he was planning to use was highly effective and less time-consuming. If he could use it properly, he would have a huge boost in his strength. Not only that, but even his talent for cultivation might increase in the process since this method can purify the bloodline to some extent. Although not by much, still it is helpful.

The method he planned to use was more advanced than what he normally used. Now some might question, if it's so advanced, why didn't he use it before?

The answer is that even though this is a more advanced method, using it can be quite complicated.

To use this method, one needs to gather a pile of fresh corpses of intelligent species that were killed for about an hour ago at most. One also needs to make sure all the corpses have a few cut marks on their bodies.

After this is done, they need to meditate and make sure their head is completely clear without any other thoughts. Then they must try to feel the blood in the bodies of the corpses and try to manipulate it.

This is the hardest part because Jin Wei is just a normal vampire, and normal vampires cannot manipulate blood like Noble Blood and Pure Blood Vampires.

Even the previous owner was never able to use this technique because he was not even able to sense the blood, let alone manipulate it.

But that's not the only problem. Even if he can sense the blood and manipulate it, he needs to do a ritual which is just as hard. To complete this ritual, one needs to have good control over blood.

The moment the ritual fails, the corpses would explode, leaving blood everywhere and wasting all the blood in the process. Due to this, this method is not used widely even on planet Nocturna.

But now Jin Wei plans on using this technique. He just hopes that everything works out, since when he returns to the military academy he won't be able to practice this method for obvious reasons, Jin Wei thought and began to meditate to clear his head.

Even though clearing the head sounds easy, it's an extremely hard thing to do. The more he tried to clear his head, the more he thought about different stuff.

Sometimes it was about his previous life, sometimes it was about Victoria, sometimes it was about the fight with the goblin, and sometimes it was about some song that he casually heard in his past life.

The more he tried, the harder it was getting. Even when he felt like his head was getting clear, he was feeling the sensation of the rock beneath him, hearing the sound of the waterfall, smelling the sweet scent of blood, and much more.

All of this was distracting him too much, and clearing his head seemed almost impossible.

"Nah… this isn't working. My five senses are getting in my way, and at this rate, it will take forever for me to even clear my head, let alone feel the blood and manipulate it." Jin Wei muttered as he slowly opened his eyes in irritation, he was unable to completely clear his thoughts.
