Capítulo 17: Chapter 17 Aurora's Past

In the novel, Aurora is a neutral character who doesn't bother much with the protagonist or the main character.

Aurora hated her Original family to her core. It's common sense for Original family members to awaken the same ability before their awakening age.

But Aurora was different. For some reason, she didn't awaken her Original ability before her awakening. Still, she didn't lose hope and thought she would awaken the ability on her 18th birthday.

Fate played its trick, and instead of awakening the Hex family ability, which was beast taming, she awakened her ability called 'Illusionary Eyes'.

Seeing her results, her father couldn't take it anymore. Without waiting for an explanation, he killed her mother and married another woman, thinking she put a green hat on his head.

Later, when he checked Aurora's DNA report, he realized that she was his daughter. But, instead of showing sympathy to Aurora, he began to completely ignore her existence.

After that incident, Aurora's stepmother began to torture her for her sadistic nature, and even her other family members began to look down upon her. Thinking she was completely useless since her ability wasn't their original ability.

The torture reached the point where her stepmother puked her left eye out. When she went to the family for justice, they didn't even hear her out and completely ignored her.

This frustrated her to the core, and a deep seed of hatred grew in her heart. She left her family and decided to join the military.

And only at the age of 30, did she reach Platinum rank and receive the title of Captain in the Military, becoming the youngest human to reach platinum rank.

Aurora has no loyalty to the military; she knows that the military is using her, so she uses them as well.

In the novel, after the war ended, she destroyed the Hex family and tortured both her father and stepmother to death.

After her revenge was complete, she had nothing else to do, so she picked an empty island far from human settlement and stayed there until her death all alone.

Jin Wei naturally knew all this. Since he wanted a backer, Aurora was the best option here. So he first decided to provoke her and show her his talent. Then he intentionally said he would not be under any original families or the military.

This made Aurora's interest in him reach its peak. So now, even if he said he would not become her student, she would force him to become one.

Jin Wei wasn't a hardcore otaku who read a novel hundreds of times, nor did he have some OP photographic memory that helped him remember all the plots and opportunities and their locations.

Still, he remembers most of the important characters and their backgrounds. And he believes it's enough for him as he doesn't care about the main storyline. He will change it to his wish.

Since Aurora was waiting for his answer, Jin Wei sighed and replied with a defeated tone, "Fine then; I will become your student."

As soon as Aurora heard this her face brightened up and with a happy smile she said, "Good, good. From now on, tell me if you encounter any problems,"

Aurora's eyes then turned toward other students, her happy smile instantly vanished and was replaced with a cold look as she said, "Today's lesson is over; you can all go back and do whatever you want."

Right after she said it she went out of the room, leaving everyone in shock.

Although it's common for some teachers to take in a personal student, where the teachers would favor their students over others, help them gain more resources, and also help them get out of many problems.

But Aurora has never taken in any personal student before in her teaching career. This was the first time she took someone in. So this was a shock for everyone to handle.

Girls were now seeing Jin Wei as more than just a handsome guy and promised to do anything to make Jin Wei fall for them.

After taking a bath in the gym, everyone left the gym. Some went to the library, some went back to their dorm, and some were in the canteen eating their free meal.

Liam was currently in the canteen trying to fill his belly with the free food that the military gave him. Because his thirst for blood was increasing each moment. He is trying his best to control himself.

But he knows that if this goes on, it will be hard for him to control himself, and he might hurt some innocent people.

Suddenly, Liam felt a strong slap on his back. This made him almost choke.

"Haha, how have you been, Liam?" Jimmy asked from the back and sat beside Liam.

Liam, who was barely controlling himself from his instinct, got extremely angry at Jimmy's stunts. But he quickly shook his head and regained his sense.

"Fine," Liam replied casually and began to eat his meal.

"Sigh, don't you have enough points? Why do you eat in the canteen?" Jimmy asked curiously.

Liam just looked at him for a moment then replied, "Cause, the food here is edible, and I don't want to waste my points."

Jimmy sighed at the response and just stayed on his chair, waiting for Liam to finish so they could go back to their dorm together. Because although Jimmy wasn't Liam's roommate, his room was just beside Liam's. So they are neighbors.

After Liam finished his meal, he got up, but a disappointed look was all over him. Because even after eating and drinking like a horse, his blood thirst didn't disappear; instead, it was still increasing as time passed.

As he began to walk away from his table, a man clashed with him, causing him to fall over the table.

Jimmy, who saw this, got angry and looked at the man who clashed with Liam. He was surprised to find out that he was none other than Joey, Liam's roommate.

As Jimmy tried to help Liam and Joey up, he heard a laugh from the distance.

"Haha, I didn't expect the 11th rank to be so weak that he would fall just like that." A brown-haired man with an average-looking face laughed with a mocking tone.

"Keke, he sure is clumsy," another man beside him said with an evil smile.

Jimmy gritted his teeth in anger as he saw both of their wristwatches. They are both ranked 6th and 7th. Although Jimmy was the 5th rank, in terms of strength, they are quite similar.

So if both of them gang up on him, it would be quite disadvantageous for him if he didn't use his full strength. But that would show his secret to everyone. And that's something he is unwilling to do for now.
