A few minutes elapsed before Hailey stepped into the waiting cab.

Meanwhile, at Adrian's residence, anticipation filled the air as he awaited her arrival, his gaze fixed on the glowing screen of his phone.

"Shall I order some noodles?" he pondered, tilting his head and tapping away on his phone.

"No, not yet," he decided after a moment of contemplation.

As an hour passed, anxiety began to creep in, prompting Adrian to pace restlessly in the living room. Thoughts raced through his mind, 'She should have been here by now... what's causing the delay?' Rubbing his face with a sigh, he considered, 'Maybe something went wrong. Should I inquire with Ms. Han?'

With a hint of concern, he dialed Ms. Han's number, holding the phone to his ear. After a tense pause, she answered.

"Hello, Mr. Zhan! Great timing. I was just about to call you. Has Ms. Gao arrived at your place?" Ms. Han inquired, her voice reflecting a sense of urgency.
