Gray walked farther and farther down the cave. He was beginning to guess what might be ahead of him. Only Krobat would have the strength to deal with Nidoking and take this cave for himself. He had no other choice. Gray wanted to try and make a deal with this pokémon. He would give them all the honey he had collected, and the pokémon would not touch him. Even though it would make all their injuries worth nothing, at least this way he could survive.
As he traveled, the flow of blood grew stronger and stronger. Such a scent could only come from a strong pokémon. Gray's hands were tense, and his eyes were constantly darting from side to side, trying to find another way out of the cave. But there wasn't one. Up ahead, Gray noticed a large purple body lying on the ground. Nidoking. Gray's gaze moved to the ceiling. A large purple bat with two pairs of wings was hovering over the pokémon's body. Its mouth was grinning, and white, sharp fangs were visible. The pokémon's bright eyes looked directly at Gray. The entire evolutionary line of a Crobat had perfectly developed echolocation, causing them to be able to move safely in the dark. Crobat sensed Gray's approach when he first entered the cave. He was interested in this man. He smelled different from the others.
Krobat remembered the smell of other people perfectly well, all of whom he had traveled with his trainer for several years. But an accident had happened to him. He had been killed by the clutches of a distraught Ursaring when he attacked a small village. It was a mission from the Pokémon Alliance. The reward for completing it was a rare Pokémon egg, which is why the trainer agreed to the adventure. Nowhere did it really say that this Ursaring was a king-level pokémon. Therefore, Crobat quickly lost to him, and to shield him, the trainer himself pounced on Ursaring. His fate was sealed instantly. He was simply torn in half in front of his pokémon. Crobat could see the insides falling out of the man's body. All the trainer said was, "Ooh. Fly away," before his eyes closed forever. The Pokémon tearfully flew out of there. He would never forget Ursaring and his trainer. After a few years passed, he was left to live in the wild. Some humans tried to catch him, but he always killed them mercilessly. No one would replace his trainer.
But there was something special about the man in front of him. His scent was like that of a pokémon, but not a human. But Krobat saw with his own eyes that the man in front of him was human. He didn't dare to kill him right away. The pokémon flew up to Gray. The man stood still, afraid to move. The pressure coming from this pokémon was immense and very suffocating. Gray decided to check its stats.

"Here comes my death," Gray thought. Ghost energy began to flow out of his body on its own, easing the pressure caused by this pokémon. Crobat opened his eyes wide. He could feel the ghostly energy emanating from the man. But that's impossible; if there was a ghost pokémon in his shadow, Crobat would have felt it. But the ghost energy is coming directly from the person's body. This is the first time he's ever seen such a case. Who's in front of him? A pokémon or a human? The pokemon flew around Gray several times. Crobat opened his mouth and used Supersonic, sending faint sound waves towards Gray. The man stood confused, not realizing what this pokémon wanted.
*Master, Krobat is trying to communicate with you. Sonic signals are the way Crobat communicate, as they don't make any sounds so as not to frighten their prey. I'm trying to decipher the sonic pulses... 1%... 7%... 35%... 100%. Sound impulses are decoded. Each one is a separate sound, which together is converted into words that other Pokémon can understand. The Master can now understand the speech of the Pokémon in front of him.*
"Greetings, human, or are you still a pokémon? Why did you come into my cave? This is Zubat territory now; you are not welcome here."Gray heard Krobat's voice a little slurred. Gray swallowed hard, took a little breath, and began to reply:
"Sorry, Crobat, I didn't realize your pack had taken over this cave. The last time I was here, this was Nidoran clan territory. I was running away from the Beedrill pack with my pokémon, and it flew in here. We didn't want to disturb you. I'll leave," Gray said. Pokémon had instinctively understood human speech since birth, so Crobat thought briefly about the man's words. So this was the pokémon trainer. He decided to ask him out in person. The pokémon's curiosity was very great. The unknown creature in front of him had powers that only pokémon could control. He had met psychic humans during his journey and even managed to spot a real aura user once, but he had never seen a human being able to use ghostly energy.
"Running away from a pack of Beedrill? It sounds like them, constantly attacking in swarms. Weaklings that can be easily killed. Though he's human, it's surprising that he was able to escape. His Pokémon must be strong enough. What could he be possessing?" Crobat thought, but quickly returned to his interrupted question.
"Human, how do you use ghost energy? I can't sense the presence of a ghost pokémon in your shadow, and yes, the energy is coming from your body specifically. This is the first time I've seen it. If I didn't have eyes, I'd think it was a prize-type pokémon in front of me." The pokémon circled around the man and spoke to him.
"I don't know how I did it myself. I was born this way. You can consider me an outcast from my own species. I've never seen another human like this before." Gray said, rubbing his palms, wet with sweat from excitement. He couldn't understand what exactly this pokémon was trying to accomplish. It seems like it doesn't want to attack, but at the same time, when Gray takes a step back, the pokémon stares at him angrily, making him stop.
"An outcast, you say? Interesting. I've never seen a human with such abilities myself, but at least you look like a human. So that word is misplaced. You're more like Unique. Human, let your pokémon out; I want to look at it," said Crobat. Gray didn't dare cross him and threw out his pokémon with his beard. He didn't care that he hadn't recovered yet. Gray's life was far more important than the life of this pokémon.
A large, two-meter-tall green-colored pokémon appeared in the cave. One of the pokémon's wings was very small and was just starting to grow back. The pokémon itself looked very tired and beaten, but when it saw another pokémon looking at its parent, it ran up and covered it with itself. He wouldn't let it kill him.
"Shiny Beedrill? That's your pokémon, seriously? Such a unique person has such a weak pokémon as his partner." Crobat knew about Shiny Pokémon. His trainer had told him about it, so Crobat knew about this phenomenon. In the Pokémon world, almost all bugs are inferior food units. Almost everyone can hunt them. The exceptions are some pokémon, such as Skorupi, Larvesta, Heracross, Pinsir, and the Wimpod-Golisopod evolution.
Crobat was very disappointed but looked back at his trainer; he was short in stature and his face resembled that of a child. His trainer had told him that there were some poor kids who couldn't afford to buy a strong pokémon and had to settle for trash. Most likely, the person in front of him was one of them. Crobat examined Beedrill, who looked much stronger than the other members of his family.
"If he was able to train such a weak pokémon so well, what would happen if a good pokémon took his place?" - Crobat's eyes lit up with intense excitement and interest. He had an idea he thought was great. There was one pokémon he had in mind that couldn't live in his pack. And it was his child. He was constantly avoided because he didn't want to feel the wrath of the leader of the pack.
Crobat himself did not fully understand why he wanted to trust this man so much. They did not communicate much, and he had some strange abilities, but something about this man attracted him. First of all, he could talk to him. Yes, pokémon trainers can understand their pokémon, but they do it based on gestures and pokémon behavior, roughly understanding what the pokémon said. Only psychics can talk to pokémon with their psychic power. Secondly, he saw good coaching talent when he considered Beedrill's condition. Even though he was beaten up, it didn't hide his impressive size and the power he possessed. So the man is a good coach. And third, Gray was a bit like his trainer's son. The one also possessed ashy hair but was killed by the attack of the Pokémon on Cerulean City many years ago. His trainer always carried a picture of his son with him, and one day he told his golbat about the incident. It was this emotional connection that caused him to evolve into Crobat.
"Human, leave that Beedrill alone. You won't get far with such a weak pokémon. I have a small proposition for you that you must agree to. I'm going to bring a Pokémon over here that you're going to love. He's much better than your flying bug. And he'll be a loyal partner on your journey. I like you, human. It's been a long time since I've felt this way about another human being. Wait here, and don't you dare run away; I'll kill you," said the pokémon, who flew deep inside the cave. A small flying ball with eyes and a long tongue was watching the whole conversation. Crobat was so focused on Gray's primal energy that he didn't notice the other pokémon watching them.
Crobat returned a couple minutes later. Gray hadn't even moved at that time. Beedrill looked at his trainer with desperation in his eyes. He didn't know what they were talking about, but he couldn't let his parents be killed. After a while, another blue-colored pokémon, Zubat, also flew in after Crobat. Crobat looked at Gray and began his story.
"This is my son. He is shunned and ignored by the other Zubats and Golbats because they are afraid I will get back at them if something happens to him, but this way he can never grow into a strong enough pokémon. I used to travel with a trainer once too, so I know what it's like. My baby is only 2 weeks old; he only recently came out of the infant stage and is now strong enough to travel with a human. Take him; he's yours now. Take good care of him. I want you to come back to me when this little guy is older. I want to see how much my child will grow," a small tear rolled out of Crobat's eye.
"Take good care of him," Crobat said, looking at Zubat. He was hiding behind him.
"Fly to him. This is your trainer now." Zubat obeyed and slowly flew up to the man. He didn't socialize with anyone except his father because everyone ignored him because of his high position in the pack.
Graybyl was shocked by the events that had happened, but he quickly put it all together in his head. This crobat has traveled with humans before, so he has no aggression towards them. Gray thinks this is the wrong upbringing for a pokémon. It should be loyal to you and despise other humans unconditionally. He scanned Zubat.
