My heart raced like a stallion as I stood in that dimly lit room, the weight of our mission heavy upon me. My gaze locked with the reflection in the mirror, and for a moment, I hardly recognized the woman staring back at me.

Beside me, Julie fidgeted nervously with the collar of her oversized coat, her fiery red hair now subdued to a mousy brown, her features softened by skillful makeup. She was a different person, just as I was. We were two ordinary women, cloaked in disguise, united by a singular purpose.

"Are you sure about this?" Julie's voice quivered, a reflection of the doubts swirling within her. "What if someone recognizes us?"
