Capítulo 27: Earthquake both physical and mental
Today I was at the Dunphy's house. I was studying for the upcoming SATs with Haley.
Everything was fine till the earth suddenly started to shake. I suddenly felt my Instinct starting to scream and jumped up from the couch I was sitting on. I saw the cabinet fall and Haley was still sitting on the small sofa under it shocked.
There wasn't enough time to drag her away.
I didn't even think and punched my arm right above her head into the cabinet to make it stop falling.
"AHhhhhhh"
Haley finally reacted and quickly ran away.
I put my arm down and let the cabinet rest on the couch.
"Are you alright Ethan, I'm so sorry", Haley asked concernedly while starting to cry.
"I am alright, I am only bleeding a little due to the glass scratching me", I told her.
I knew this wasn't the case. I was sure my wrist was broken.
"I will go to the hospital as quick as possible Haley, I just need a few stitches.", I said goodbye.
"Ok, but please be careful", Haley said kissing me.
"I will be", I told her.
I started to drive to the next hospital.
I went towards the emergency exit, where quite a few people were already waiting.
I registered myself with the secretary and waited for a doctor to attend to me.
Soon enough a beautiful blonde doctor came up to me.
"Hi, my name is Meredith Grey. What is your problem?"
"Hi, I am Ethan. I am pretty sure my wrist is broken", I told her.
"Let me take a look", Meredith said and looked at my wrist.
After only a glance she could see what the problem was.
"You are right. Your wrist is indeed broken. You also have quite a big cut on your arm. That would need a few stitches. As for the broken wrist. We will need to have an X-ray to determine whether the fracture is stable or unstable. If it is stable you only need a cast and if it is unstable you need to be operated on", Meredith told me.
After that, we went to get an x-ray.
"You are lucky. Your fracture is stable", Meredith told me with a smile.
"That's good. I am lucky to have a doctor as good as you attending me", I praised her.
It didn't take long and she quickly put a cast over my broken wrist.
"I am sorry for asking, but you seem to be very familiar to me. Do I know you?", I asked Meredith. Her face and name were familiar to me, but I didn't remember from where.
"You may know my mother Ellis Grey if you have often been to the Hospital. As for me. I am only a surgical intern helping out at the emergency area because this area is overloaded due to the earthquake", Meredith Grey said with a smile.

Now I remembered. Meredith Grey was the protagonist of the medical drama "Grey's Anatomy". I only watched the first few seasons and only one time. Due to that, I didn't remember her right away.
Another reason was that I originally remembered that the series would take place in Seattle and the beginning was in 2004 or 2005. Somewhat around that time.
"Why is so different from the original system?", I was confused and surprised.
[That was a wish of yours. Some series may begin at the same time, they may begin earlier or they may start later]
"Then how many worlds are combined in here?", I asked the system another question. I originally thought there were only two worlds, but there seem to be many more.
[Many. As for the specific number. I can't tell you]
"Super helpful system", I rolled my eyes and started to drive home.
It was pretty hard, but my driving skills were enough to drive with one hand.
