"How much further is it, Cap'n? I feel like we have to be close to a hundred meters deep now!" Kliter yelled out from the bottom of the deep pit.

"Hm...it looks about eighty or so meters deep, so not much further. Keep going, we're almost there," I remarked as I peered into the pit and estimated the depth.

"Alright, if you say so-...hm? Strange...my Magic isn't working on the dirt here. I think it's been infused with that Mana-blocking substance, or at least something similar, that was used in that prison."

Hm?

"I see several glistening specks in the dirt...it looks like this might have been a powdered version of that substance, mixed in with the dirt. Maybe they did this in order to prevent whatever's below from being dug up using Magic," Guessed Llewel uncertainly.

Either that, or it's there to make sure that whatever's buried underneath can't break free using Magic...
