Capítulo 51: Chapter 50 - Benefit to be Gained

I reluctantly got out of the carriage as the driver brought it to a halt, Aura following behind me as I took out a katana and shot towards the bandits, right as Estella swooped down on them and slammed her knee onto one of their chests, sending him flying away with a pained yell.

I count thirteen bandits in total, they had surrounded a young woman who they seem to have dragged out of the carriage, and there was a man inside the carriage who was dead, a dagger lodged in his chest.

The driver was dead too, and I see two children cowering inside the carriage, tears in their eyes with looks of terror on their faces.

I also see two other corpses...based on their outfits, I think they're Adventurers, maybe they were hired as bodyguards or something.

One has an arrow in the back, he must've been taken out with a sneak attack, the other is covered in severe burns. As I've learnt through experience, escort missions sure can be difficult to survive, huh...
