''I love you. And I can't help but want to spend the rest of my life being hopelessly and irrevocably in love with you,'' Ryle spoke every word with certainty, his teasing eyes were filled with a sincere look this time, ''How does that sound?" 

Daisy's heart raced unconsciously and her lips parted slightly. She opened her mouth to say something but no words came out, ''I...'' she removed her hands from him and averted her gaze, looking everywhere but at him. 

Ryle did not rush her. He stood there like a pillar, unmoved and unhurried in the slightest. 

And that made Daisy feel an immense amount of guilt. It would have been fine had he not been so kind to her and had been a little less understanding but he seemed to have all the time in the world to listen to the words she might never say.
