Capítulo 38: Just Taken Care Of
That whole day, nobody had bothered him.
However, they had shifted all their attention to Pinkie.
That lunch break, she had a busted lip.
Nein was concerned.
"Pinkie, tell me, Wasn't it Morbi and Dirk?!"
However, Pinkie still had the same reply as always.
"It's none of your business."
He and Elena were not disturbed at first, until the wounds started getting worse and worse.
One dinner time, she had even come to the hall with a shallow slit across her throat.
But Pinkie refused to go to the school nurse, or even report to a teacher.
She was a vampire, so it would not kill her though.
It was just very painful.
Xavian and Elena were concerned, but Nein was furious.
"First, a black eye.
Then a busted lip.
Now, it's a freaking nail cut down the neck?!!.
Why must those guys always ruin my school life!"
Xavian woke up the next morning, had his daily routine, and headed off to class with Pinkie and Elena, but Nein was nowhere to be seen.
They had expected him to turn up by lunchtime or something, but by dinner time, no one knew where he was.
At first, Xavian, Elena and Pinkie weren't worried.
'Nein had a freaking Ten cores, no one could hurt him .... right?'
But then hours upon hours had passed without any sign of Nein.
Xavian also noticed that the two students who had bullied him and Pinkie were gone too.
Something was definitely going on.
Their Badges suddenly rang as the principal had decided to make an announcement.
"Everyone, Please Report To The Crimson Hall.
I Repeat, Go To The Crimson Hall"
By the time Xavian and crew had arrived, the 3000 students who lived in the dorms had already filled up the place.
He and Elena checked around the hall, still finding no trace of Nein, and chose to listen to what the Principal had to say.
"Well students, our good students of Crimson High,..."
The Principal began.
Xavian frowned.
"Why does this feel so familiar?"
"We have discovered a vice that needs to be taken care of in our school."
"An unruly rogue has been going around, attacking students of our school.
It's latest attack has cost the lives of two of our students, Dirk Vladimir and Morbi Suhan"
The Principal continued, raising a tablet showing the pictures of two students.
However, these weren't any ordinary two students.
They were the two bullies who had beat up Pinkie just yesterday.
Xavian broke out in cold sweat.
He had over heard Nein fuming earlier but was too tired to ask.
'I-It couldn't be... Could it?!!'
Was Nein a murderer?
But that thought was interrupted by a dull thud.
Pinkie had collapsed.
