Capítulo 125: CHAPTER 121 THE TEACHERS

Flare cannot help but let out a snort. She tried to suppress her laughter, especially after seeing everyone's reaction, but unfortunately, she failed, causing the female teacher to look at her strangely.

"Ahem! May I ask which individual sent the request to protect Cleo?" Cleo asks, not caring if he is tricking the teacher in front of everyone who knows the truth.

"Randalf seems to be of common origin, but because of fate, he actually obtains a valuable treasure that cannot be taken or traced, a life-bound treasure, just inferior to an innate one," states the female teacher.

'Randalf? Who is he again? ' He is stunned; he seems to have no memories regarding this person. Seeing his confusion, Margaret sighs and explains.

"The person that you hunted with before the great incident where you lost your memories—he is that person. I just cannot believe that he would be so lucky to actually obtain a life-bound treasure." Hearing this, his eyes narrow, and he immediately recalls something.

'The f*cking main character! He is the friend who asked the academy to protect me!? Wait! Before that, what is the life-bound treasure they are talking about? If the so-called main character has it, then I am certain it is very valuable! 'He turns to his sister with shining eyes.

"Big sister, what are these so-called life-bound treasures? Are they something amazing for the academy to actually give serious importance to a single individual of a common origin?" He is hoping that it is as amazing as he is currently imagining.

"Yes and no, they are considered treasures left behind by ancient races; there are not many of them, but they are actually able to attach themselves to their host's soul, making them bound for life." She explains that based on the information that she has, this type of treasure is considered too desirable, making information about them hidden in public.

The female teacher chuckles and actually explains it more.

"What student Margaret means is that such treasure is definitely "amazing," but not to the point for the academy to take notice of such an individual without any background to this degree. What makes student Randalf different is that he has a rare constitution and his twin talent."

"Special constitution! Twin talent!" Everyone except for Cleo was shocked; they could not believe that such a person would go unnoticed by the families of their world.

Flare looks at Cleo with envy and cannot help but complain.

"Why are you so lucky? First, you befriend multiple Aces, including a future abbot from the Golden Monk Race, and now you are friends with such a person? Little brother Cleo is such an unfair brother!"

"Wait! Did you just call him Cleo?" Suddenly the female teacher notices the name that Flare used, and her eyes widen in disbelief as she stares at Cleo intensely.

Cleo starts coughing, and he smiles sheepishly at her before introducing himself.

"Greetings, I should introduce myself to such an esteemed individual. I am Cleo Oriend, the proud brother of the number one talent in our world, Margaret Oriend, and the cousin of the prestigious phoenix Flare Oriend."

The teacher giggles; he introduces himself, but at the same time, he only highlights the names of his sister and cousin.

"You are very interesting; I think my aunt would definitely like you." She is excited; if she introduces him to her aunt, there is almost a hundred percent chance of him being accepted by her aunt as her student, and she will definitely be rewarded for such an achievement.

"I am flattered, but I think that I am considered too young for your aunt." The female teacher freezes, as does everyone inside the room. While he misinterprets her words, the others do not; they know that she is actually thinking of making him a student or even a disciple under her aunt.

"Little brother, I think she meant that her aunt will be accepting you as her disciple." Flare can only remind him of his calm smile, which hints at rejection.

He freezes before taking a deep breath and grabbing Margaret and Flare's hands.

"I think that my two lovely sisters are more fitting to become your aunt's disciples; you should have heard about my reputation back at the academy; I do not want to ruin your aunt's reputation too."

The female teacher shakes her head.

"No matter how bad your reputation is, as long as you have strength to back it up, those rumours will disappear. Do not underestimate the influence of strength in this world."

She left, knowing that the incoming invasion is still looming in the heads of everyone in the stronghold. Meanwhile, Cleo is actually thinking about how strong the supernatural-level teachers of the academy are for them to only bring a hundred fighters and yet still have confidence going against thousands of fake supernatural lifeforms.

"I have to go; my group is waiting in the defensive line; I only came here to inform everyone about the situation." Without waiting for them to react, he flies back to the frontline.

Transforming into his dragon-tiger form takes a lot of energy to sustain; with the double effect of hunger, he has to replenish his energy constantly. The massive amount of power he obtains from the two has its drawbacks, but it is still manageable.

When he arrives at the defensive line, he can see that the faster lifeforms have already reached the place. Fortunately for the defenders, they have Leon and Glutton to help them defend while they can attack behind the wall.

He turns to the Supernaturals; it seems that they are just watching the battle, but he can sense their killing intent even high up in the sky.

ROAR! ROAR! SKREE! The lifeforms that are fighting against Glutton and Leon quickly retreat. Cleo raises his eyebrow, and just as he is confused as to what is happening, a powerful psychic will locks on his position. His expression changes as he lets out a loud roar, breaking the constraint of the will.

His expression is not looking good right now. That psychic sense is so powerful that it actually seals the space surrounding him; this is clearly stronger than the supernatural level. It seems that the rumour regarding a much higher grade of lifeforms is true.

Taking a couple of deep breaths to calm his raging heart, his mind relaxes, and if the sky falls, there are still people that will hold it. Right now, he is not officially a supernatural warrior, considering that he has no supernatural-grade soul blessing yet.

He lands on the wall, and Glutton and Leon quickly retreat under his supervision. He will not let any lifeform attack them while he is guarding them.

"To think that your presence would alarm such an entity, kid, you are more talented than you look." Suddenly, a drunk person wearing the academy's clothes appears silently behind him.

He did not sense him at all, but he is no longer alarmed; he realises that the only reason they are capable of bypassing his senses is because they are at the same level as true supernaturals. This also answers his question about why they are still confident going against a thousand or so supernatural lifeforms with just a hundred of them.

"Teacher, it is reassuring to see you here." He bows to him with his hands clasped together. The drunk teacher stares at him quietly.

'What a powerful young lad! Even though he still has not stepped into the true realm of the supernatural, he exudes such an intense sense of danger.' The drunk teacher evaluates him.

"Oh my, to think that the Sword Venerable would actually sneak up on such a young fellow, you are becoming more and more shameless." A person with golden skin appears; unlike the first person, he did not suddenly appear and was slowly flying into the wall.

'A member of the Golden Monk Race!' Cleo is surprised to see another race actually join the battle; it is even one of the high-ranking races.

"Hmm, you guys are members of the Oriend Family, right?" The amiable-looking monk asks.

The guards looked at each other and nodded. They were shocked to see two strange individuals appearing at their base.

"That is good. Do any of you know an individual named Cleo Oriend? Some of the young members of my race asked me to actually protect him; it seems that the relationship between the younger generations of your race and mine is quite close." The guards are stunned.

All of them instantly turned to Cleo, the monk, and the drunk teacher was startled by their reaction; they also turned to him.

"Hahaha! What a coincidence! A brat under Lord Thousand Sword King also asked me to protect you." The drunk teacher laughs out loud.

"It is truly fate that brought me here." Says the monk.

"Fate my ass, you are asked to come here because you are a teacher of the academy." The drunk teacher does not care about the face of his comrade and insults him.
