With a calm smile, Xia Lin slipped her hand into her pocket.
Slowly, she pulled out a gleaming black card. Its surface caught the light as she twirled it effortlessly between her fingers.
The room seemed to freeze.
"Because I have this," Xia Lin said, her voice smooth as silk.
A collective gasp rippled through the store.
Manager Wu's face went pale, his jaw tightening as his eyes fixated on the card.
The staff members, who had been so mean to Xia Lin and were standing confidently with the other woman, suddenly looked at her. Their gazes mirrored the same shock plastered across Manager Wu's face.
"There is no way that is real," someone whispered, their voice laced with disbelief.
"It can't be," another muttered. Yet, their shaky tone betrayed their doubts.
