Capítulo 319: Chapter 319 : Credence
Time when on like this for Orion, he was mainly keeping a low profile while looking for Eric, but to his dismay he couldn't find anything related to him.
He talks with countless Intel Brokers about this but to no avail. None of the intel brokers knew anything about Eric or even things related to him like vampire movements or someone doing any research nearby.
By now his only option was to look for this legendary Nora Mandragora.
Apparently, she was a big deal here, countless times he heard that she was the only person who might be able to help him now.
However, the only problem was that no one knew where she was exactly, it is said to him that she herself approached others and revealed intel, not only intel about what others might want in their time of there need but also knowledge about things which are still yet to happen.
Orion just wanted to call that bullshit, but now having no other option to explore at hand, he once again was ready to look for this almost impossible figure for intel.
This was still better than the only other alternative that he had. Contacting Vampire to find Eric was not something he wanted to do. He never liked those bloodsuckers, and thinking about asking them for help, never in a million years.
Sigh...
"What are you thinking ?" suddenly a familiar voice came, this was Credence, now he was a good friend of Orion.
"Ah, nothing... what about you. You been acting differently lately. Did you find a girl for yourself or what..." Orion smirked with a teasing smile on his face while swiftly changing the topic. Making Credence immediately blush. One of Orion's favourite and only pass time here besides testing out his magic by going to another part of the world.
'I am not sure about other things but I will definitely accelerate global warming if I keep on going like the last time I was grinding.' Orion had a little bash full expression on his face.
"I told you it's nothing like that..." Credence replies furiously while trying to control the creeping blush. He had no idea why John kept on teasing him like this. He really didn't have any girl in his life right now.
Yeah, for Credence Orion was still John Wick. Only a few years older them him, probably his only friend right now.
"Sorry sorry, I just can't help but tease you. That might be the only time when I have seen you smiling even a little bit." Orion replied while taking two soft drinks out of nowhere, once again surprising Credence but now it was a usual thing for him to do in Credence's eyes so he didn't look too surprised.
Taking the soft drink from Orion he only asked this..." How do you do that"
" I told you... it's magic. You just won't believe me." Orion replied cheekily and Credence at this looked suspicious.
He by now knew that Magic really existed, he himself had magic, maybe... but the way Orion used his magic, and then boasted about it being magic. Always made Credence suspicious that the man was just full of bullshit.
After all what kind of wizard willingly tells others that he has magic. Orion seeing this only rolls his eyes.
'ah, this world doesn't deserve honest people. Hmph...'
"Anyways... mind telling me what are you dealing with that man you are sneaking out to talk with..." Orion asked while sipping on his drink making Credence pause, the reaction was well under Orion's expectation.
"What are you talking about. I..I don't..." Credence was saying but Orion stopped him midway.
"Spare me this pointless attempt of yours to hide this alright. I already know that something is going on between both of you. Listen I am asking because I'm worried for you okay. You are too innocent. There are many bad people who would use you for their needs in a heartbeat.
I'm just ensuring that you are not putting yourself into trouble." Orion said making Credence who was about to deny his claims shut his mouth.
He after all this time at least believed that John was a friend to him. So he didn't want to hide it.
"Hmm... it's nothing dangerous, I...he asked me to find someone for me and in exchange he will help me find my true identity." Credence replied making Orion frown.
'Tell his real identity... How can that man know about his real identity ?' Orion pondered if only he remembered the movie? Sigh...
Whatever it was, he couldn't let Credence sway by that man this easily.
" And you believe him ?" Orion asked while glaring at Credence intensely.
"I...I don't know but that is my only lead to find anything about my origins right now." Credence explains.
"I see... well that is still better than how my search is going on..." Orion nodded.
To make his stay in the Orphanage a little easier, he explained that he was looking for someone to Ms Marry. At least he has to give something to them about his reason for being here.
Credence knew more than that though. Of course, Orion didn't tell him who he was looking for, instead, he twisted the story which might help him later on. His version of the story was like this.
"I found out that I had a cousin who was lost. If he is still alive, then he should be here in New York. I have no idea whether he is still alive or not but I survive so I can only hope that he also find his way to survive."
Orion obviously tell this to credence to later on explain to him that Credence wasn't the only one looking for his family, his family was looking for him as well.
When it comes to why they leave him, well how he supposed to know, he too was an Orphan after all.
"I hope you find him soon..." Credence nodded with a solem tone, none more than him knew how it feel like to long for family.
"Thanks"
"I too hope that you are right about that man. Remember Credence, not everyone are what they seems like. If you think that man is lying or is dangerous then stay away from him, if you have any problem with him come and tell me. I will help you out." Orion said to which Credence just nodded solemly.
Sensing that the mood was getting a little heavy Orion quickly spoke then to change it.
"Oh, by the way if you have no one you are seeing then why not let me help you find someone. Otherwise you are wasting your youth like the author like this..." Orion smirked making Credence smile again at the sudden change in tone in his friend.
"Of course, if you like men then that is also find. Its just that I have no idea how to help you in..." Orion was saying but Credence immediately got irritated and charge at him to stop him from whatever he wanted to say.
He knew Orion enough to know that he was joking but still this was not something he wanted to talk about even as a joke.
