Orion after the incident, went fully into detective mode, contacting anyone he could get information about the Vampires.
Finally, he got a lead, it was from Eric's contact and probably he might find the whereabouts of the Vampires.
Today was especially hectic as a lot of work fell on him at the same time, but maybe what took most of his time was the Transfiguration practice. He soon wanted to start with the Law of Matter and to do that he first had to master Transfiguration to the best of his capabilities.
Knowing the task gonna take quite some time from him, Orion was diligent about not missing his self-imposed Transfiguration class every day.
In only two months he has grown quite a bit, being able to do even 7th-year Transfiguration without many issues. But there was magic in Transfiguration which he still yet to master, making him slam his head against the wall as almost all the time he makes some kind of mistake when performing that magic.
This particular type of magic was none other than Animagus magic. It allows a witch or wizard to turn themselves into an animal of their affinity.
"No matter what I do, that spell just doesn't work," Orion whined as today was the 200th time he tried that magic and failed.
He long wanted to ask help from someone like McGonagall but after thinking that that witch would never let him use this dangerous magic he refame from doing that.
Maybe she will allow and even help him but Orion really was a little too small for Animagus magic.
Even many Aurors can't do this magic by the time they pass out for their job. Children like Marauders were exceptions though. They had some great affinity for this magic.
Orion on the other hand was the exact opposite.
[You yourself don't know what kind of animal you want to change into. I can see that you just can't set your mind to one.] Merlin said and to this, even Orion couldn't refute. He really was confused about what kind of animal or birth he resonated with the most.
At first, he thought that why not go for a dragon but honestly how many times can he really use turning into a dragon anyway?
It is absolutely a disadvantage in small places, not good for sneaking around, in fights too he will be much more effective being a human who can use magic, especially him with his law and other wandless magic, but a dragon is nothing but a sitting duck if he is fighting a powerful opponent.
The way currently he was, he at least had chances to beat someone like Voldemort or Grindelwald but as a dragon, who can't use magic nor dodge effectively, he was really nothing but a sitting duck. Big fire-breathing duck who can fly but duck nonetheless
There were other animals as well he thought about turning into like a wolf, dog, bird, snake, lion etc. And always every single one is just that, has many flaws.
So that leads him to find a perfect animal for him to turn into. Unfortunately for him, there was none. Mother Nature could be very strict but she is at least not unfair. Everyone has their merits and problems.
"So what do you think, is there is a kind of Animal which resonates with me the most," Orion asked with a sigh, after all, he himself had no answer to this question and he had wasted enough time on this already.
[Hmm usually you are the one who thinks outside the box, I am surprised that you didn't come up with a simple solution right in front of you] Merlin said with a little amusement yet a little disappointed.
"Right in front of me? Do tell," Orion just rolled his eyes. Merlin saw this and shook his head.
This was the problem with the boy. His focus sometimes blinds him from finding the most obvious answer in front of him.
[You have been working really hard after knowing about the rebirth of magic. I understand that you are taking this seriously as I usually tell you but that doesn't mean that you stop thinking and completely lost yourself in training.
I know that you are trying to stay focused to the main goal and cut out all the bullshit your mind usually generates but remember magic is not a study. It never was.
Magic is an art.
Although some degree of restraint and focus is important, however if that causes you your curiosity and attraction towards magic then you will never be able to grow in magic.
For a second forget that this is something you have to quickly learn to start with Law. Forget about that.
Think about this magic itself. Why do you even need this magic, where you can use it, how can it be useful remember it's not about how others use it. It's about how you use it.] Merlin said with a smile.
Orion who was expecting an answer to his question so that he just be done with this Transfiguration, frowns.
He knew that he was rushing at this process. Looking for quick success and more powerful magic but...
Sigh.
"Fine," Orion said and started pondering about what possibility he could use this Animagus spell for. Just like Merlin said, not how others use it but rather how he himself could use it.
But right now wasn't the time for something like that, he needed to get some rest. And after so many days, he finally was planning on going back to Gryffindor's dorm and sleeping there. From tomorrow starts the week-long vacation for Christmas and there is much for him to do.
So he shakes his head but moves towards the Gryffindor dorm. Under the dark corridors of Hogwarts, Orion has to say that anyone would be spooked here. But he no longer felt anything anymore.
Almost every area of this castle, he has seen in the darkness of night.
As he was making his way toward the Dorm, Orion suddenly spotted a figure roaming around the castle.
Little footsteps and Orion immediately catch up. Curious he took a detour to find who this person was.
As he moves past the corridor to find the open railing. He saw a beautiful white hair girl roaming around,
COMPLETELY NAKED!!!!
