Huria approached Skyla's bed with a wounded heart. She was very suspicious of the way Skyla was found by the couple. Where was her phone or any other belongings? And what was she doing in that part of the city?
Skyla's eyes were closed as Huria drew near and inspected her injuries. Her stomach clenched in agony seeing her friend like that. So she lightly touched her arm and softly called out.
"Sky!"
Skyla's eyes slowly opened as they focused on her friend and a small whimper escaped her. All that bold facade she was trying to maintain shattered, her ruby lips wobbled so badly and she began to bawl.
"Oh! Sky, I am here," she carefully hugged her to avoid her injured body, consoling her extremely disturbed friend. Skyla clutched her shirt hard as if her life depended upon it.
She was broken today, so very broken. She thought she was strong but one could only take this much.
A husband is a protector, a man like him doesn't deserve to be called a husband. Thoughts?
