Trix and Satoru walked out of the bifrost with which they landed in the forest and there they devised a plan of action.
"Let's wait until night. We'll use the night as our cover." Satoru said and Trix didn't object at all to that proposition, knowing that she might see action.
He climbed up a tree and she followed him. The white haired boy laid himself down on the wide branch hidden by the leaves and decided to go to sleep.
"Sleep? Seriously..." she asked him, sitting down and observing the large dome veil around Greenthorn and noticing a lot of visible nation wide humans.
He shrugged whilst laying down and falling asleep.
-
"Satoru, wake up." she awoke him and he squinted at her after sitting up and noticing that it was night time and the village was very bright.
They dropped down from the tree and Trix asked him as they were walking slightly closer : "What's the plan?"
He took out the axe and gripped it, supercharging it and throwing it very high up into the sky in the dome's direction.
"Are you sure that'll break the veil?" she questioned him.
Looking at the axe land, it entirely shattered the dome veil and made a large exploding sound, making it vanish as the spell has been literally broken.
"Didn't think that'd work to be honest.."
They quickly noticed a lot of the nation's warriors instantly beginning to move in and fight.
"Let's go." Satoru said, taking off and Trix following him.
Both of them were in cloaks and had the hoods over their heads in an attempt to remain unrecognizable.
Dropping into the village, they quickly were jumped by 2 demon eye possessors and about 5 mind influenced warriors of Greenthorn.
Satoru rushed at the one of them and dodge his strikes, hitting him in the stomach with 3 villagers surrounding him as well.
Gazing for a moment, he saw Trix stare at the other's red eyes.
"Don't look into their eyes!" he yelled to her and got kicked by the warrior, blocking it in time.
She stopped for a moment as if she was placed under an illusion. Her eyes however glowed a green as she continued on moving and her opponent stopped moving.
Trix rushed quickly at him, dodging the sword strikes from the village's warriors and placing her hand like a knife with fire enveloping it, stabbing it right through the guy's neck and pulling upward, causing his head to fall from his shoulders and blood splatter everywhere.
"She wasn't kidding. She is strong."
Getting annoyed by his opponents, Satoru jumped up into a backflip and performed the signs for Stormstride which were now reduced from 2 to 1 after tremendously training it, still requiring both hands.
With his tanto blade he appeared behind one of the villagers and cut their calves, then another one and the last one causing them to fall onto the floor.
After landing, he threw a regular senbon at his demon eye opponent, but he simply avoided it, going for a upward strike with his sword at Satoru. He pirouetted it and created a quick thunder rod in his hand, stabbing his opponent with it in the side.
The demon eye user went to slice there, but he immediately went into a sweep and knocked him off his feet onto the ground.
From the air, with her leg surrounded with fire, Trix landed a strong axe kick on the guy's head, denting it in and killing him.
"I had that." Satoru told her.
"I know you did." she replied quickly, noticing that the villagers began to turn to normal as the illusion casters were dead.
In the background, a lot of yelling, clashing, exploding was heard from the others battling and clashing forces.
"C'mon. We're not here to liberate this place." the boy told her as he started rushing through the village to Starlit Library and Trix quickly followed.
They entered inside and it looked the same like a few days ago, with Eldric arranging a bookshelf on a case.
"Welcome to the Starlit Library, where everything is known and everything can be bou- Ah Satoru, it's you again." Eldric said, getting down from the ladder and approaching him and his usual counter he stands behind. "And you've brought a friend."
"You know what's happening outside?"
"That I do my young friend, that I do. For a moment there I thought you wouldn't fulfill your end of the bargain but I guess I was wrong." said the librarian, now standing behind his counter. "Well, what have you come here for, just what do you want to know?"
"You have a folded paper" Trix inserted herself into their conversation "One that'll lead us to Hephaestus."
The yelling, clashing and exploding increasingly got louder with each moment passing. It felt as if they were battling outside and in front of the building itself.
Eldric started to think about it but nothing came to mind : "I do not possess such information. I would know, seeing as I'd offer a price for it!" the librarian said now sitting down "And Hephaestus, I already wrote down what I knew."
"Are you su-" before Trix could finish her sentence, through the wall, a warrior from the Rock nation was sent flying with blood in the air following him like a trail and him landing into a bookcase, knocking it over and creating a domino effect that knocked down multiple more.
He seemed to have been suffocated and stabbed, but what could cause such thing... And from the outside of the hole in the wall, entered 4 mind influenced villagers.
"Oh heavens!" Exclaimed Eldric as he crouched down beneath the counter.
"God of Thunder, do something!" the librarian exclaimed
Satoru quickly vaulted over the table and kicked the chair to one of them who moved aside quickly to dodge it.
One of the villagers began to perform an air elemental sword technique form, but before he could, Satoru rushed to him and went to punch him in the stomach, having him block with his blade and stopping the punch.
The others used their blades to move in on him, having him resort to dodging and countering.
Gaining the advantage, he punched one in the stomach, with another one going to slice his torso in half. Quickly, Satoru dropped to the floor and performed a full circular sweep, knocking that one onto the ground and immediately getting up into a hook kick, landing it on an incoming one as well.
Trix's eyes glowed the bright green once more, speaking aloud : "Muto!" which influenced the ones that Satoru had stunned and had been distracting. They dropped to the ground as if they fell asleep.
The last one performed a sign, beginning to rise stone pillars from the ground of the library, damaging it greatly and having Eldric close his eyes out of the sight he simply could not bear.
Satoru leapt up to the ceiling, swung on the library's chandelier and dropped in front of the guy, going to punch the face of the last one, but he dodged. He performed a spinning hook kick, yet once again the guy dodged.
"More skilled than your buddies eh?"
The mind influenced man caught his punch, and the boy's other punch now holding both of his fists.
Catching him by surprise, Satoru jumped up and bent his lower body to kick the guy with both of his feet in the chest and knock him on the floor.
Trix performed the same procedure as before and the guy fell asleep.
The white haired boy performed a subtle uppercut motion and arose an earth wall from where the hole was made and went back to the librarian and Trix.
"What was that?" he asked her implying about them falling unconscious.
"It's the word 'Alter' in Latin, and the initiating word for altering and removing an illusion from one's mind with my powers. That's what I did to them." she replied quickly.
Eldric stood back up and spoke : "I'm grateful, truly, but I have no such paper here. I'd know it!"
"What about coordinates, a random location on an old folded paper or book page?" Trix asked, leaning against the table
The librarian's eyes widened and he quickly looked at them : "There is such thing, though it's not kept here. Instead it's at this village's main building, this village's leader's, Galdor's building.. His family and mine have always been united in a way, with his and my great great grandfathers keeping a family secret to which they only told their sons to entrust safe keeping. He holds the unlockable enchanted safe whereas I hold the key.. I've never thought much about it now, though that could be something to look at." he said, taking out a key from his keychain that was red.
"It's not a pleasure giving this to you for free, especially if it's something valuable.. So as payment I'd like to know what you find."
They accepted. He handed the key to them, explaining further that Ishoki and Varek have been reigning from that building, overlooking almost everything and that if they run into them that it's unavoidable to get to the safe.
The duo thanked him and left outside, noticing that there was a lot of blood, a lot of fire and dead bodies. Moving past that, they traversed the dark alleys and rushed to the main building where dead bodies have fallen.
The nations cared about returning Greenthorn village to their ownership, but it seems that they don't care how many die in the process. It being their non influenced warriors or Greenthorn's.
Entering inside the main building, they saw multiple dead bodies of both sides but continued going up until finally they reached the top floor.
Seeing with their eyes, Ishoki held up a a nation's male warrior by his throat and tossing him through the window with a black long cloak and hooded figure standing there, unable to see his face.
"You've arrived too, pest?" Ishoki said with a menacing voice, turning around and revealing his blazing red eyes with a shoulder length hair tied ponytail, black hair and black apparel.
Satoru was silent.
"I'm surprised that you're still alive. Being as weak as you, it's honestly shocking that the wind itself hasn't picked you up and turned you into nothing more but smithereens. I don't feel like fighting you.. Varek, kill him if you will."
The hooded guy turned around and revealed half his face burnt, he performed a gesture and quick silent chant with his hand and what seemed like black quick fog going towards the two kids, it stopped and dissolved.
Walking in from the other stair case was a blue hooded woman, Elara to be exact.
She performed gestures with her hands and kept murmuring something that couldn't be heard until the last 2 words.
"Vincula Spectra!" Elara exclaimed and not a full second after that Varek performed a gesture and exclaimed "Contra!"
Ghostly, translucent shackles appeared out of thin air, clamping onto the Ishoki's wrists and ankles with a chilling, ethereal glow. The chains connected to the shackles seemed to disappear after a moment into the air, into another dimension.
They restricted Ishoki's movements, acting as a binding spell, and he cannot teleport of phase out of it by himself... However, with a dispel, he can be rendered to be free. Varek, on the other hand, seemed to have countered it and nullify the effect of her spell working on him.
"You've learnt some new tricks, Elara." the cloaked black mage said, having his hands at the ready.
"Satoru, Trix? Fuck.. I don't have time for questions, only that I'll take care of this Mage before us myself so I ask you to not get in the way."
They nodded and immediately Varek performed a gesture, turned around and ran towards the hole in the wall into the opened portal.
Quickly, Elara closed it but not after he leapt out. Expecting something like that, he was getting ready to land onto the ground below whilst chanting up the dispelling of her spell on Ishoki and Elara followed him quickly out the wall's hole.
Having his hand's and ankles free again, Ishoki unsheathed his sword "Now then.. Time to die."
