Capítulo 10: Chapter 9 : The Beast of War

Whilst waiting for the others to arrive, Primal leaned against a tree in front of Blaze village and was in his thoughts. Satoru, on the other hand, went to his own thoughts as well, but for an entirely different purpose.

Upon entering, he stood on what seemed blue fire that was just below the 'glass'. Around him everything he could see was dim blue fire, except in front of himself where he instead saw the means to destruction, the mentioned sudden burst of catastrophic destruction... One of the 9 non-hollowified tailed beasts that the clan sealed inside of him.

It didn't move towards him, it didn't growl but all it did was eyeball the white haired boy.

"You know where I'm going and I know that you do not want to die, so I suggest that you give me some power in the upcoming battle." offered Satoru.

The beast squinted it's eyes, still gazing at him and telepathically speaking to him. He was able to recognize it's voice as the same one that told him to kill the ones at Bladewood village. Despite knowing that it was sealed inside of him, he never heard it's voice until then...

"No. The chances you even find Korama are next to impossible. Forget about it!" it said, with a loud-ish gutteral voice, forcing the boy out from his thoughts and corner of subconscious to reality, to the sight of Jinn and Zankoku arriving before the others.

Not long after, a few minutes would pass at the very least, and the others arrived too. With them all being determined and not clued in on the target, they ventured off and searched for the beast in the outskirts of Blaze village, which still prevailed inside of Ember nation.

After minutes and minutes of them all searching, they couldn't find it.. It wasn't in the surrounding forests, nor was it anywhere that it could be seen from... Everything seemed to be clear.

Near the water large, Aza seemed to have discovered a carving in the tree that formed a symbol. A line that makes an entire wheel and goes back down, nearly symmetrical.

Upon touching it, rumbling was heard as from the water, something appeared to be ascend up onto the water. It was giant according to the sound, fast and orange...

It quickly emerged and there it was... The Beast of War, unshackled and released from the water, with golden chains falling from it's back, head and tails back into the water...

Satoru was immediately taken to a corner of his subconscious and saw the giant two tailed beast in front of himself and even though it's an animal, it had a troubled expression on it's face.

"Fools... You've released Korama!" it yelled out in a harsh voice.

"In that case, I assume you want to die?" Satoru asked, knowing what he's implying.

The beast grunted before continuing on to speak to him telepathically : "Ugh... Fine, here's some power. Greedy beings..."

Being instantly taken to reality, with that short chat being a second in real time, he was enveloped in a blue aura that even had aura two tails behind him. And since Primal wasn't in the area just yet and the others all arriving, that made him the closest to Aza.

Taking a deep breath, clenching his fist and quickly allowing the 'Storm Cloak' to form around him as well as imbuing his feet with lightning too, he vanished in an extremely sudden burst of speed, going to save the mission 'teammate'.

Korama saw Aza and with its claws went right at her, with her unable to react despite comprehending the situation.

Her eyes widened as she basically pulled the air up, going to create a large wall of water, but the beast's claw was not slowing down because of that.

Thinking it's actually the end, because she cannot run away at this point.. She instinctively placed her hands up to guard it but she knew it wasn't gonna do anything...

Before Korama's impact with the claw, Satoru was able to successfully swoop in and move her out of the way. Not without having his arm cut and bleed...

The white haired boy placed Aza down up on the hill that's off water and only then started to feel the damage of the cut.

"Satoru, thank you so much! I am forever grateful to you! Wait... Your arm! It's bleeding!" she yelled out to the white haired boy.

He looked at her for a moment and looked at the cut that's stinging, seeing it visibly but slowly close up from the blue beast aura he had around himself.

"I need you to focus now. Until the others get here, its just us against this thing.." he said to the girl.

[Aza's appearance : green eyes, brunette, hair long to her mid back, black custom pants, gray undershirt below a purple and white kimono top tucked into the pants]

[Name : Korama, the Beast of War]

[Strength : Large Mountain Level]

[Speed : Subsonic+, 274.5m/s]

"W-Wait.. Are you sure we can fight it ourselves?!" she exclaimed to him.

Satoru rolled his eyes and told her "Stay here.." and took a few steps forward to go at it as it saw his location.

"Wai-" before she could finish her word, he was already gone. The white haired boy is now just that fast because of his current state, the state of the beast's aura and the Storm Cloak combined. But even so... A combination of opposites doesn't necessarily have to mean that he has full control.

It eventually took a heavy toll on his energy, draining it unlike when he'd usually use the forms individually. So with that, he dispersed the Storm Cloak after leaving Aza off.

[Name : Satoru]

[Speed : Transonic, 374.8m/s, current state with beast aura + thunder feet]

Satoru evaded it's large claw, which pierced into the water. Swerving it, he rushed up the side of the mountain, to try to get the high ground but the beast charged up an attack from it's mouth, pointing at the mountain and a house sized orb bomb with surrounding red matter was shot at him.

Seeing it, Satoru couldn't believe it and kicked himself off the mountain towards Korama. The beast's orb bomb crashed into the mountain, entirely destroying it into rubble and the explosion itself hit Satoru and sent him more towards and above the beast.

Being above it, hopefully in it's blind spot, he grabbed the axe from his back and grinned, pointing it up at the sky and sending out a beam of lightning that a mere moment later hit the beast, burning it on one spot.

It growled and 'screamed' in pain, being able to punch Satoru as he was mid-air, sending him flying up more and bruising him quite a bit, despite blocking.

From Korama's mouth another orb bomb formed and it was fired at Satoru, with his eyes widening and him trying to somehow move out of the way despite in the air but he wasn't quite successful.

As it progressively got closer, he went to raise the axe for the bifrost teleportation but just in time, sensei Primal swooped in and grabbed the white haired boy, landing safely and letting him down on the opposite side of where Satoru left Aza.

Jinn, Zankoku, Kazumi and Aza were now there too. The sunny and good day now felt scary and the atmosphere in the air felt like something that could only be described as dark and evil..

"So what's the plan?!" yelled out Zankoku.

Sensei Primal shook his head as there was no plan but... "The plan?" he asked rhetorically. "The plan is to kill it no matter what." Primal said with the beast going straight at them.

As it was running at them, Primal engulfed himself with the purple lightning of his, it being a much better form than Satoru's 'Storm Cloak', of course. Kazumi activated the eyes of the demon, with them shinning a crimson red at Korama.

Zankoku, Aza and Jinn didn't possess any special forms but... The two from the clan associated with speed were able to become minimally fast enough to gain access to the Speed Form, which doubled their base speed and surrounded them in a yellow aura. And as for Aza, she held the Eyes of Purity and activated them, with them turning into a slightly glowing white light.

It fired another red orb bomb towards them, with all of them going to disperse by separating into different directions.

Appearing all side by side, rushing towards it while it was still regaining 'balance' from the orb bomb, it was able to spot them and it opened it's mouth, going to roar but from above it, appeared sensei Primal and by maximizing the output, he sent the lightning up into the air and it hit the beast, burning it severely yet also stopping it from roaring.

With a large amount of fur he burnt and inflicted pain upon it, it stood up on two of it's legs and the red orbs began to immediately be created from it's hands and it started throwing them at the students and Primal while also growling.

They were 1.5x faster than Korama itself so it was looking like an issue for the students...

Satoru dodged all 4 thrown at him and went to rush at the beast before him, but saw in the corner of his left eye that 5 were incoming at Aza and that despite her enhanced visual acuity, she couldn't perceive all of them and get out of there.

Squinting his eyes, Satoru continued on running at Korama but raised his axe up and was able to just barely graze the half-way there red orb and forcing it to explode in the air, saving Aza.

Putting his axe down and focusing in front of himself now, he sped up and jumped right at Korama's face, but it was able to slap him away with it's large paw.

Sensei Primal jumped in and performed the lightning ability which name is 'Thunder Breaker' on it, while whistling too. The missed red orbs were launched at the large mountains and forest nearby, destroying them nearly entirely.

The thunder began to hit and hit the beast, burning it more and more. Zankoku and Jinn ran around it, evading the blows side-by-side and launching fire, wind and lightning attacks onto it, damaging it minimally yet still doing at least something...

When it got all of them aligned in front of itself again, the beast opened it's mouth and began roaring what seemed hell... Kazumi, Zankoku and Jinn couldn't hold on and were blasted away by it's roaring into the deep green forest. Not long after, Aza was blasted too with only sensei Primal and Satoru remaining as of right now...

"Bear it!" yelled Primal out to Satoru.

It was as if multiple tornados were trying to pick them up from the floor and launch them away, but with additional cuts.. It's loud and tremendous roaring was very slowly beginning to tear the flesh off Satoru's arms.

With the trees in the distance beginning to be ripped off from their root and launched away too from Korama's roaring, the other students were trying their best to get back.

After what seemed forever, it stopped roaring and went to charge up another red orb bomb. As it was materializing, Primal and Satoru looked at each other with their eyes widened, vanishing from their positions and appearing both below and above it.

Sensei Primal sent out lightning at it's stomach, piercing it and forcing it to bleed. Satoru on the other hand, went to throw his axe right through it, yet unfortunately got smacked by one of the 9 tails, dropping his axe and being sent flying and crashing into a mountain.

Despite that, Satoru pulled himself from the crack and saw the sensei easily evading the beast's strikes both with the tail and the claws.

Aza and after her Zankoku, Kazumi and Jinn were able to return and were instructed by sensei Primal to distract it's tails. Specifically, to be targeted by them and evade them.

Since the beast couldn't understand them, they had success in that aspect. The white haired boy appeared above the beast once more, with the axe flying to his grip.

As he fell down onto it, Satoru went for an overhead strike and pierced it's back with it growling and roaring but because of the damage. Applying his energy to the axe, he was able to start electrifying the beast, stunning it at most because of the thunder coursing through it.

Despite being beaten and cut up, the other 4 students were constantly sending out projectile attacks at the beast, damaging it no matter how little they inflicted.

Sensei evaded it while at the same time constantly using 'Thunder Breaker' on it, damaging it severely and visually slowing it down.

Satoru jumped up into the air from it's back and as he aimed to throw the axe at it's head, through the brain to kill it.. It went right at Jinn and Zankoku, preparing to throw red matter orb bombs again at them.

Due to them being slower than the orb bombs, they wouldn't be able to dodge them as they cannot perceive them before they're launched. Seeing the red orbs manifest, Satoru threw his axe at the same time as sensei Primal threw his spear.

With the axe traveling to hit it from behind and the spear in front, they were successful and their weapons destroyed the brain of the beast, stopping Zankoku and Jinn from getting killed too. The blood splattered all around the water as the beast fell towards the two boys.

As it fell down, visually, small amounts of red energy flowed from it into Zankoku and Jinn, surrounding them and being absorbed into them, forcing them to pass out and fall onto the water, beginning to properly sink in now.

Sensei Primal quickly appeared and grabbed the two by their shirt collar's, pulling them out and dragging them to the hospital of Blaze Village, with Satoru, Kazumi and Aza going behind them.

The blue aura of Satoru's beast had faded away now.

Not saying much, they registered into the hospital and Jinn and Zankoku were being taken care of by the doctors. They were taken into hospital rooms where they were injected with a healing elixir that'll work on them and they'll wake up in the next hour.

The doctors told the news to sensei Primal, while the others got healed too.

Aza and Kazumi's injuries were taken care of quickly, and as for Satoru he was back to a 100% before the two of them were. Sitting in the waiting room, sensei Primal and Satoru talked.

"You did well fighting a hollowed version of a beast being this young. I'm surprised that everyone was able to survive too and on top of that that it was beaten that swiftly." said Primal, with his arms crossed and in a relaxed tone.

Satoru kept looking down at the floor, leaning into the hospital wooden chair. "Yeah... Sensei, I saw how fast you were moving. I don't doubt that you'd be able to eventually defeat it by yourself, so why did you need all of us?" asked the boy, genuinely wondering.

"For you to gain experience. And besides, you were also doing some of the heavy hitting on the beast." he said, still in a relaxed tone, possibly more relaxed now too.

"How was the beast created in the first place? Surely there's a story about it." Satoru said, implying a question which he is asking.

Primal sighed and sat normally, even bending with his elbows on his quads, looking at Satoru.

"What I'll tell you, you can't tell any of your teammates or even mention it to them." he said, gazing at his eyes with a cold look.

"Understood." said the intrigued boy, wanting to know more about it now.

Primal leaned back against his chair and looked around to see any nurses or doctors passing by and the air was clear.

"When the Gods originated to these realms, they were met with something catastrophic. Something that was ferocious and pure evil awaited them here. After a very long battle that lasted even days, they were able to defeat said being and separated it into 9 pieces out of which the hollow versions of the tailed beasts came and from them the 'regular' beasts. To this day, the Gods don't speak about what they battled but some say it was a dragon." said Primal to the interested boy, with a doctor incoming and passing by.

Satoru didn't think much of it, despite finding it fascinating, but that arose more questions inside of his head.

"Okay.. And why was Korama in Kratos' possession and why the nickname for it?" he asked, with his left eye squinting.

"Well, each of the 9 hollow beasts were given to a God for safekeeping. Factors such as compatibility, ideals and personality were taken into account when choosing who'd be the perfect one to bear the 9. Kratos happened to get the most destructive one due to his reputation and the beast was nicknamed because of him, because of the 'God of War'. replied Primal

"I see..." said Satoru. "And now it's dead?" he asked.

Primal hesitated to answer, not because he had something to hide but because he was unsure... "Well... I'm not entirely sure, but I believe that it's still alive. I will have a look at it eventually." he said, with uncertainty.

Right as he had finished saying that, Aza and Kazumi were escorted outside of their room as they had healed up. Wishing to return back to Blaze, they left quickly but not before greeting them goodbye.

Sensei Primal's plan is still in motion but... As for right now, all they can do is wait until the two wake up..
