Capítulo 130: Chapter 130

After obtaining paper and ink, Yusu had the teaching sand removed. Desks and chairs were introduced into the school, and each person's desk was equipped with the four treasures of the study.

Children adapted quickly, but for the ten adults, it was challenging. Accustomed to a carefree lifestyle, suddenly confined to a limited space, they struggled to adjust. Strict requirements for posture and pen-holding added to their discomfort.

Yumang sat in his chair, scratching his head, as if there were thorns on the seat, fidgeting continuously.

*Crack.*

Yumang accidentally broke the brush with excessive force, splattering ink on himself, turning his face completely black. Laughter erupted from onlookers.

Nervously glancing at Yusuo, Yumang explained, "Brother Yusuo, it was unintentional."

Yusuo replied, "A brush is not a magical tool; you need to control your strength."

Yumang scratched his head, "It doesn't obey my commands."

The soft brush's bristles resisted his control; in haste, he applied too much force, causing it to snap.

"Brother Yusuo, can I continue using a charcoal pencil? I find it more comfortable." Yumang requested, expressing a preference for charcoal over the soft brush.

Yusuo, with a stern expression, rejected, "No."

Perplexed, Yumang asked, "Why?"

Yusuo explained, "Because mastering the brush requires focus and control. Writing with a brush is a form of discipline, teaching you to concentrate and manage your strength."

Yumang, looking distressed, accepted a new brush, realizing he had to continue wrestling with it.

Others, contemplating Yusuo's words, viewed their brushes differently, understanding the significance of the practice.

Luyan, observing the brush's tip, consciously adjusted his grip and strokes, showing improvement.

Yusuo, noticing, remarked, "Well done, progress."

Luyan, comparing his work to Yusuo's, felt he had a long way to go but was determined to improve.

After two days, the day of the Barbarian Tribe's Beast God Festival arrived. Yusuo led a group to the Barbarian Forest, bringing Yuzhou, Yujing, and Yukui to broaden their horizons.

Welcomed by enthusiastic Barbarians, they headed towards the Beast God Temple. The children, riding snow wolves, looked around with curiosity.

In the tradition of the festival, everyone, including the visitors, painted their faces and bodies with patterns, seeking the Beast God's blessing.

"Can we paint too?" Yuzhou asked eagerly.

"Of course," a Barbarian explained, offering to help.

Yusuo permitted, "Let them paint, no need for the adults."

Barbarians quickly provided pigments, painting symbols of peace on the children's faces. Laughter ensued.

Yuzhou asked, "Brother, is mine good?"

Yusuo appraised, "Not bad, quite wild."

At the Beast God Temple, the square transformed into a massive sacrificial platform. The Barbarian High Priest and disciples, dressed ceremonially, awaited.

Acknowledging Yusuo's arrival, the Barbarian High Priest bowed. The festival commenced with the sound of horns, engaging the crowd in fervent chanting.

Yusuo sensed a mysterious force, ancient and primal, emanating from the Barbarian warriors' circles. It resembled the "momentum" practiced by Yucun's warriors but originated from faith, a divine power granted by the Beast God.

Observing the fervor, Yusuo realized this was the first time he truly perceived the mystical power linked to deities.

Reflecting on the ceremony, he questioned the all-knowing spirit within him about the potential to communicate with a deity.

Intrigued, the spirit suggested it might be possible but cautioned against drawing divine attention without understanding the consequences.

As Yusuo pondered, an inexplicable force briefly enveloped him. Startled, he kept his composure, concealing the encounter. The ceremony continued, leaving Yusuo intrigued and cautious about the enigmatic power he felt.

After the ritual, the Barbarians indulged in a lively feast. Yusuo and Yuzhou were invited to a prominent seating area.

The Barbarian High Priest praised Yuzhou, remarking on his resemblance to Yusuo and predicting a great future for him.

Yusuo humbly declined the chief seat, emphasizing the significance of the Beast God Festival for the Barbarians.

As the celebration unfolded, Yusuo wondered about the mysterious force he experienced. The festival left him with a newfound respect for the divine, questioning the nature of the power that linked the Barbarians to their Beast God.
